So glad my talk on *Entangled Alliances* got rescheduled after the January ice storm. 📚
Every day I think of an essay in this volume of Marilyn Young’s essays, edited by @marydudziak.bsky.social and Mark Bradley. Body counts, forgetting, the subsequent wars that make the previous wars seem less illegitimate, how public opinion figures in and doesn’t.

We had a wonderful workshop on humanitarian biographies in Trondheim. 3 ERC projects (Madeleine Dungy's Internal Fortress; Silvia Salvatici's HumanEuroMed and my BLOCKADE) pooled their interests and resources to ponder how (group) biographies can help us understand the history of humanitarianism
