The #worldofwarcraft folk really are pushing Housing *hard*. I really don't see the appeal personally. I wanted to like it, but you spend hours fiddling around and ... Then what? You can't do anything with the house or anything in it.

Fallout 76 is currently at its lowest price ever on Steam, 90% off. If you like Fallout this is an absolute steal. You can play the entire story without getting involved in any of the usual 'mmo stuff' and have a wonderful time (and not spend another penny). I can't recommend it enough.

Yeah great advice, thank you. I have a background in coding to an extent for work (JavaScript and SQL mainly) so I’m familiar with some concepts so not starting from zero per se but yes definitely using it as an advisor etc. rather than it writing anything for me.

I’m using @godotengine.org by the way. It seems fantastic so far. EXTREMELY early days, but from a day 1 perspective with no experience of game dev tools it seems incredibly approachable and, most importantly, understandable and approachable.
I’m invested in Kiryu’s story already (only just got out of prison) and feel a need to find / rescue Yumi as soon as possible! I’ve got so much to play these days, but just looking forward to getting back to this kind of old, kind of weird gem.
The love and joy @jonjagger.bsky.social and @beauschwartz.com express for Yakuza has finally convinced me to give them a try. I started Yakuza Kiwami this morning and it doesn’t disappoint. I’m not a big anime person but this is giving those vibes with a mix of weird, but then a quite deep story.
