Anthony Gormley challenges our perception of the human form. I rather like it. I’d rather talk art than war any day. Brave by the cathedral.

Morning Mushen and Beans. Monday again and foggy, can just about see the field opposite. Hope you enjoyed the weekend with your son. Don’t overdo things this week.

Poor Hannah absolutely shocking to see. Surely we haven’t forgotten the horrific murder of another woman MP.

Never going to forget that day. Had just taken severance after 25 years with the then DSS. We heard it on the car radio on our way to Watford. Everything felt utterly surreal wandered round my home town like a stranger.

Oh how beautiful I love donkey’s.

Now that’s news. So exciting but can’t pretend I’m not anxious. Long hazardous journey made even more dangerous by humans. What a menace we are!

I often steer clear of so called best sellers as often find them disappointing but I really loved it. Another such book was Elizabeth is Missing by Emma Healey.

What an awful individual he is. Seems to need our airbases though! Utterly delusional to believe this war is even close to a conclusion. I hope we continue to resist the pressure to become more involved.

Elly is such a good writer. I also like The Stranger Diaries series.

It’s dull here and still β€˜spring chilly’. This afternoon though I’m a cat relaxing with Holly reading. Decided to re-read the whole Dr Ruth Galloway series by Elly Griffiths. An antidote to the horror of illegal war.

All of those plus the Rainbow cafe on Kings Parade, Henry’s Tea Shop, and Culpeppers.

Captures the spirit of Cambridge at that time so beautifully. Perfect summer mornings, golden autumn afternoons and shadowy winter days.

It would be something at least to mark that so many who should be here are gone. They existed, loved and were loved. Those left behind like your poor friend have missing pieces of the jigsaw of their lives. Space that can never be filled.

Poor woman, poor family. There are so many stories like this one. Those left behind can never find peace. My neighbour moves through his life like a shadow. He lost his daughter at age 37. His wife, who died two years ago, told her consultant he could not fix her heart because it was broken.

Good morning dear George. The sun is hiding but hope you find a warm place to spend time.

Oh how wonderful to see this . My sister’s favourite dog walk. The Lost Church. Her ashes are there in that sacred place somewhere amid the dunes. The salt breeze carries her generous spirit forever.

Haven’t ruled a chocolate biscuit either as an act of defiance.

Given the current state of the world I think we deserve treats. I have just had a glass of wine on a Wednesday evening.

Yes not bad at all thank you. Foggy and chillier than we were expecting. Art group was a peaceful retreat from a mad world. Hope the day went well for you. The weekend incoming for those still working.

Good morning Mushen and Beans it is foggy up here. Art day so two hours of peace and calm at least. Sorry you aren’t sleeping well, not sure anyone feels rested at the moment. I hope your day passes as smoothly as possible.

He was very impressive yesterday Hettie. Frankly, shocked to hear a woman (who I gather has children) demand a course of action that will undoubtedly lead to other people’s children returning home in body bags! I hope we remain resolute.

Money and power Hazel. It’s always those things.

I shall be doing my best. A walk in the sunshine with some daffodils to remember my Mum who has been gone for 20 years today. Hope you have a good day Hettie.

It all has the feel of a terrible cult to me. Remember how shocked we were by the likes of Manson and Koresh in the 70s.
