And it’s OPEN! πŸŽ‰ Southampton City Art Gallery re-opens its doors this weekend, after a year of refurbishment.

Huge congratulations to the entire team who made this happen, with special thanks to Emma Richardson for her incredible opening show, and @artscouncilengland.bsky.social for their support.

Small Business Saturday isn’t just about business it is also about community.

Did you know you can hire the brilliant Bushmead Community Hub for parties, meetings, events or sports?

The team there are so helpful, your hire fee goes to keeping this happy hub on our community.

...and this, this complete lack of integrity in our systems and institutions, is a massive risk to our country. This sort if thing persuades people to vote Reform, regardless of any justifications, of which none exist. The Labour party need to wake up to this reality. Prosecutions need to happen.

Basically the likes of Lord Chadlington and Michelle Mone have NOT been brought to account. They have NOT faced just consequences for what went on. The public know this, and it's a disgrace. Never mind justice delayed is justice denied. That is true, but justice never delivered at all is a disgrace.

The most important job for this government is to prosecute wrongdoings, and for the public to see consequences, quickly delivered, for those responsible and found guilty. Starting at the very 'top'. If people don't start seeing results, this year not next, then Reform are in next time round.....

...because the lack of justice is a core part of people's disillusionment. People are seeing those in prominent positions not facing consequences. The water industry for example....the fines are fines that customers pay for, not the execs. This is absolute rubbish....not justice at all....

...so, people will vote Reform purely on the basis that they're presenting as something different. Nothing to do with right/wrong, they are VERY wrong. Every MP needs to wake up to the reality here ; the public want to see consequences for those at the top who are getting away with utter nonsense.

It's not working because the system is stupidly rigged against the contractors involved making the repairs long-lasting. Basically it's money down the drain, near enough.

07.03.2026 08:35 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 2 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

What do we want to do? Pay Β£500 for a cheap repair that might last up to a year, or pay Β£2000 for a proper repair that will last ten years? The contractors would prefer the former ; to them it's a good steady profitable revenue stream.

07.03.2026 08:41 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 1 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

The whole approach needs to be urgently revisited...with a whole different attitude to the awarding of contracts and payment structure.

πŸ’¬ Yesterday, I held my advice surgery in Filton, at St Peter’s Church.

Local people raised a range of issues, inc. research into SUDC, the Child Maintenance Service, & the NHS.

I can pick issues up on your behalf - supported by my expert caseworkers - at surgeries and beyond.

Potholes cost Stroud's drivers about Β£320 pa. That's Β£25m out of our local economy.

Labour are putting an extra Β£177m into fixing Gloucestershire's roads. But is the system working? I'd like to hear people's experiences:

....the lack of such prosecutions impacts business and trade, because it keeps people at the 'top' in those positions, at the cost of competence and efficiency....

(1/2) Had a great afternoon at Lewisham College with Principal Jamie Stevenson.

I loved chatting with students about their studies and future plans, and seeing their enthusiasm.

Great to catch up with Nikos Savvas from the Eastern Education Group at Abbeygate Sixth Form today!

We discussed higher education provision, student transport, and the work his team is doing to improve SEND support across Suffolk.

Your raising awareness on this vital issue is very much appreciated. Diagnosis time needs to be rapidly brought down.

Endometriosis affects millions, yet so many still go undiagnosed and unheard. By speaking up, we help break the silence and move toward better understanding, support and care.
