A stack of four comic anthologies, fanned out to show they are volumes 1-4 of Interlude: Stories of Azeroth.
The same four comics, each open to the first page of my entry! Four for four, baby!
Finally figured out where I stashed my first two Interlude volumes. Now the whole family is together!
And also all of my comics in each edition. Because it’s kind of wild to compare volume 1 to volume 4.
Big thanks to @wowcomicanthology.bsky.social for continuing this project, it’s such a joy.
Happy Interlude day to me 🖤
I love being able to get the physical copies of @wowcomicanthology.bsky.social they're always so beautiful
US shop orders as of last week went out Friday! Look for them heading your way. International orders will be going out this week.

Packing and shipping continues! We can confirm that these are all the remaining unclaimed Interludes (2025's Home x21 and 2023's Feasting x5). These are available in the shop: www.meganjamesart.com/shop

A stack of Interlude:Stories of Azeroth at Home
All four Interlude issues together
The books have arrived this week!! FIVE boxes of comics are being packed and prepped to ship out, with the first batch (US orders) heading to the post office tomorrow. We can’t wait to get these in your hands, they’re beautiful !!
Midnight Pre-patch is almost here, and while you’re waiting for the extended realm maintenance… why not listen to Realm Maintenance? ⚙️🎙️

Page 1 of a 4 page comic. This page contains 3 panels. The title reads "Hermit Crab", but the word "Hermit" is written in a Darkspear troll style, while the word "crab" is written in the style of Silvermoon and the Blood Elves. Panel 1: Pris, a blood elf and Armas, a Darkspear troll, are walking through a Darkspear village in the early hours of the morning. They are followed by Armas's raptor companion, Jahti, who is dark purple with blue eyes. Pris is wearing a purple and gold Silvermoon outfit with open belly and legs, while Armas is wearing a dark purple and blue tabard and ripped pants, a variation of the Darkspear heritage armor. She is carrying a basket with her, and he carries a bag over his shoulder and a spear in his hand. (These descriptions remain the same until the end of the comic). The dialogue reads: Pris: I forgot my clothes on the drying rack outside! Again! Armas: Yeah, but ya only live here for what? Six months? Pris: Armas, it’s been 13 years. Armas: Well, what can ya do? You don't got any wind in Silvermoon. Pris: Oh, you decided to be so funny this morning. Panel 2: This panel covers the entire page and bleeds out of the borders. Pris is cleaning clams on the beach and Armas is hunting fish with his spear. Jahti is sniffing around in the sand. The sun is slowly rising over the horizon, illuminating them with a backlight. The dialogue reads: Armas: Ya hermit crab be not acceptin’ ya offerings. Pris: What? I left a dozen shells for it, I could’ve kept them! Panel 3: In the foreground we have a beautiful shiny shell with big spikes. It has white base, red on the spikes and golden coloring through it, reminiscent of Silvermoon. Behind it, we see Armas trying to spear a fish, and further down, Pris sitting in the sand. The dialogue reads: Armas: Maybe they be too fancy for a skittish little thing like that.
Page 2 of a 4 page comic. This page contains 4 panels. Panel 1: Pris and Armas are in the Darkspear village. We see several troll villagers in the back, two women, two men and a man carrying his daughter on his back. They go on about their day. There is also a large Darkspear hut made of wood and straw. A little pink saurid is running by. Pris hands the basket with cleaned clam meat to an old troll who has light green skin, graying green hair, a broken tusk and long braids. He is visibly skinny, but in a good mood. Behind her stands Armas, holding the bag full of fish and behind him is Jahti, curiously looking. The dialogue reads: Pris: Here you go, the softest batch yet! You won’t need any teeth at all. Pris: Say, do you know how to make a hermit crab take to a shell? Armas: Ah, so everyone will be hearin’ about this today. Panel 2: A closeup of the old troll who replies to Pris with a smile. The dialogue reads: Old Troll: Hermit crabs won’t crawl inna shell too big. It will only be slowin’ them down. Panel 3: Armas looks over at Pris with a smug expression. She seems mildly irritated. The dialogue reads: Armas: Maybe that’s why the crab doesn’t want it Pris. Ya be thinkin’ like them Silvermoon elves. Pris: What does that have to do with it? I am not in Silvermoon, and neither is the crab. Panel 4: It's a top view scenery of a path through the jungle. Armas and Pris are walking, followed by Jahti and surrounded by other trolls. There is a troll woman on a red raptor, two older trolls and three troll children. The dialogue reads: Armas: We should bring these to me mom. Pris: I think the crab wants to spite me. Who wouldn’t want a huge shell? Pris: Hey, do you know why crabs don’t like big shells? Troll 1: Huh? Armas: Leave them be, Pris. Pris: If I see Uzu, we can ask him. Armas: Have you tried giving it a skull? Pris: You're messing with me. Where on Azeroth did you get that from? Armas: Hah, ya wouldn’t believe me if I told ya.
Page 3 of a 4 page comic. This page contains 3 panels. Panel 1: Armas and Pris arrive at Armas's mother's house. There is a door with beads, a troll mask and a wooden raptor decoration to the side. Pris hugs Armas's mother, while he watches with a soft expression, holding the bag of fish. The dialogue reads: Pris: Good to see you, Ma! You look great! Panel 2: The scene bleeds through the whole page. It's Armas's mother house, a typical troll home with a shrine to Bwonsamdi, a shelf with books, two windows, colorful Darkspear rugs, a counter with some fruits and candles lighting it up. Armas, Pris and his mother sit around a table. There is grilled fish with some rice and fried plantains. Armas's mother is a blue troll woman just like him, with green hair, wearing a brown outfit and many neclaces. Jahti is sleeping behind them, with leftover fish bones around her head, implying she feasted well. The dialogue reads: Armas: And if it wasn’t for that noisy boat, I would’ve caught ya that mightfish for sure. Pris didn’t have much luck with her undertakin’ either. Armas’s mom: Eh? What were ya up to? Pris: I've been leaving shells for this spiteful hermit crab that resents me. I don't understand why he won't take any. Armas’s mom: They need a small snug shell, so they be picky. That way they feel safe and protected, and when they outgrow it, they find a new fittin’ one. Panel 3: It's night. The text reads "Later". Armas and Pris return home and we see their silhouettes. They are in the troll village, standing in front of a troll house with a staircase and some hanging lights. The dialogue reads: Pris: Armas… What did you mean earlier, with Silvermoon? Armas: Oh? Just that your people be likin’ their houses, ya know… Grand and shiny.
Page 4 of a 4 page comic. This page contains 5 panels. Panel 1: In their home, Armas sits down on the bed next to Pris and puts the now empty bag down. He looks distraught and she is sad. The dialogue reads: Pris: I don’t think I’ll ever grow into that. Armas: Ya can’t know that... Maybe when ya leave your current shell behind, you’ll grow right into... Grand and shiny. Panel 2 and Panel 3: In a closeup, Pris looks down, saddened, until Armas calls her and she looks up at him. The dialogue reads: Armas: Come here, bedbug. Panel 4: The panel bleeds through the whole page. It is Pris and Armas's home. While the structure is a typical troll house, there are many things that belong to Pris. On the shelves, there are both troll books and Blood Elf books, a Blood Elf globe, a troll bowl, a Blood elf flask, as well as two of Jahti's feathers on a string, next to a glowing Phoenix feather. There are small glowing crystals on the string above the bed as well. The pillows and bedding are colorful and in the style of the Darkspear. On the wall there is a mask of Bwonsamdi, next to a shield with the crest of Silvermoon. On the window there is a Blood Elf tapestry, but the sky and moon are visible. In the foreground there is a troll style nightstand and on the ceiling, there are round jars with candles in them. Jahti is sleeping by the window and Armas holds Pris in his lap as both are lying on the bed. He has a soft loving expression and she holds her arms around him. The dialogue reads: Armas: How ya be feelin’? Pris: Like your mom said, small and snug... Pris: I am not sure if I want to outgrow this. Armas: I outgrew my old shell when ya came along, but we never stop growin’. If this place we built be not right for ya-- Pris: Then we find a new one together. Armas: Oh? Pris: The shell needs to fit both of us. Panel 5: It's night on the beach and the hermit crab has finally found a shell. It is one that has purple and blue hues, matching Pris and Armas. END

The title page of the comic "Where do I go?". Jazrock stands at the gate of his home, a rustic stone cottage with an overgrown yard, planter boxes and an empty chair. The title shows white and yellow flowers, some of which are wilted and losing their petals.
Jazrock walks through his dimly lit home, reflecting as he moves through each room. His thoughts are narrated throughout the comic. First panel: "The house is quiet". Jazrock moves through the front room, walking past a table with an easel and art supplies on it. Second panel: "The fireplace is cold. I can't bring myself to light it." Jazrock's eyes are cast down as he walks past the unlit fireplace. Third panel: "The flowers are wilting. I can't bring myself to water them." Jazrock looks sadly at an indoor plant with drooping leaves. Fourth panel: "The bread has gone stale. I couldn't bring myself to eat it." Jazrock glances at a stale loaf of bread as he moves through the dark kitchen. Fifth panel: "Your bed is empty. Unmade." Jazrock looks at the dark red sheets of his father's bed, which are rumpled and messy. Sixth panel: "I can't bring myself to make it." Jazrock looks down pensively.
This page shows Jazrock's past memories of his father in their home. First panel: "You raised me here. Loved me unconditionally." A six year old Jazrock smiles brightly up at his father, who is ruffling his hair with a fond smile. Second panel: "You taught me so much. I loved you with all my heart." A pre-teen Jazrock sits in front of an easel as his father advises him on how to paint a goblin figure. Jazrock's father has a blanket in his lap. Third panel: "This is the only home I've ever known." A young adult Jazrock enthusiastically talks about some seedlings he is growing to his father, who has a blanket wrapped around his shoulders. Fourth panel: "But it was home...because you were here." Jazrock brings a tray to his father, who is sitting in a comfy armchair with blankets over his shoulders and in his lap. Fifth panel: "What am I supposed to do...when home doesn't feel like home anymore?" Jazrock weeps as he holds his father's hand, who is reclined in his bed. Sixth panel: "If you're gone..." A close-up of Jazrock holding his father's hand with both of his. Seventh panel: In the same close-up, Jazrock's father's hand begins to fade away. Eighth panel: "...where do I go?" The close-up shows Jazrock's empty hands in the present.
This page returns to Jazrock in the present, standing at his father's bed. First panel: "I can't stay here." Jazrock's shoulders are slumped as he stares despondently at the empty bed. Second panel: Jazrock lifts the covers and climbs into the bed. Third panel: "But I can't bear to leave." Jazrock lays in his father's bed, his hand resting on the pillow with a forlorn expression. Fourth panel: A close-up of Jazrock's sad expression. Fifth panel: In the same close-up, Jazrock's eyes become teary. Sixth panel: Jazrock turns his head to quietly cry into the pillow. Seventh panel: Decorative text reads "I want to go home." Flowers shed petals next to the text.

Comic title card: Lodestone, by Rhythmcrown & Skeblinn. 1. An elderly Eredar mage flies through the Twisting Nether, opening a portal to a ruined planet. 2. His ley-outlined hand reaches through the portal, showing more Legion-burnt planets. 3. The mage arrives on the planet's surface, charging up a spell in fury. 4. A wide sweeping shot. The mage stands on a Legion spire in the foreground, arms raised high, after conjuring a massive spell rune in the sky. The rune rains arcane spellfire down upon Burning Legion forces, cracking a portal tower, with demons scattering below. SCRIPT: From far afield do comets fly on wings of radiant glow These meteoric trav’lers carry boons and omens vast Lonely drifters sailing solar winds from long ago, They would but shoulder legacy if only kindly asked So spare a fleeting thought for all the lights gone out too soon, Momentary flickers gleam defiant toward the dark— For just one passing moment, revel, child of ley and rune! Brilliance unfettered for each solitary spark! The journey long and arduous, each ruined world held dear The ages wear upon the mantle, wounds too old to mend But when your star-trail burns too low and weathered by the years— Come home, oh cosmic wanderer; hold fast against the end.
1. An elderly krokul woman walks toward a shattered greenhouse on Argus, surrounded by ruins and broken terrain. 2/3: She walks into the greenhouse looking over her shoulder, and then down to something in her pack with joy. 4: Holding a brilliantly glowing flower, she looks upon it with tenderness. 5: A large view of the greenhouse, with plants of all kinds giving it life. A pillar of water rises to greet her out of a small rocky pond. SCRIPT: But what of earthbound guardians, so blessed to know the loam? From soft beginnings bloom great things, e’er striving toward the light Oft overlooked, enduring, do they wait below the known These tender hands and stolen moments wards against the night Their future is not grandiose, nor destiny profound Though stone and sea remain when all is claimed by final sleep. Yet needed are the tides of change, to cleanse but never drown; All children of the underneath find mercy in the deep Beloved pearl of rocky shores, of strength eroded clean How worn you wear your tapestry, so frayed but still your own— When facets dulled by time hold on to one last sparkling sheen, Come home, oh sleepy siren; there awaits a softer throne.
1. The mage from pg.1 flies in an arcane comet trail past the Exodar, looking upon it mirthfully as he passes over the forest. 2. A crowd view of various Eredar/Man'ari, Draenei, and Lightforged in a town square. The comet trail can be seen above. 3. The mage skims over the water on the coastline, arriving toward the krokul woman on the sand, raising her cane in greetings. 4. Mage slows his flight to land, both reach fondly to one another, holding hands. The man conjures arcane Forget-Me-Nots behind the woman's ear. 5. The couple walks along the beach, with the Exodar visible behind them, and flowers in the foreground. A mark of the Sha'tor is carved on a tree. SCRIPT: Return, oh weary comet, and may tide arrive to shore, And with you every aching scar attended at the source Allow your tired shoulders to set down the hurts you bore, For winter’s twilight turns to spring, if hope can stay the course Woe and weal may linger, but there is still work to do: People, places, things to know, and wisdom yet to give Catharsis can be found when one alone returns to two, You've still got time to pen the book of stories yet unlived This final journey’s rightly earned, with all its joys and pains, Tomorrow isn't promised but the light inside remains— So lay down all your grief and walk the way that's yours to roam. Enjoy this world and love her well: your heart is finally home.

Text reads: Heart & Hull. Hello again journal! Keal'han, reporting for check-in. I've changed my mind about what I said last time... when Captain disappeared, I decided to take care of his ship until he returned. It's been a few years now. I don't think he's coming back. The comic portrays a young blood elf named Keal'han, writing in his journal about his thoughts on his Captain's ship turned house-boat. He is shown writing in it while his friend Vahnto, another blood elf, naps leaning his shoulder. The bottom half is the silhouette of Keal's captain and said boat, and below is inside empty vessel that was left behind.
Text reads: But this ship means so much to me. It holds so many good memories with all my friends, both old and new. We made it into a home together. I think I'm going to stay for a little while longer. The panels are seperated by a ship's mast, wrapped in lights. Each segment shows Keal'han and his friends decorating the boat with furniture and accessories, all whilst spending time together. They are also shown cooking and playing cards.
I almost forgot to post my @wowcomicanthology.bsky.social comic here! This was such a blast. Please read the whole anthology if you have some time, its superb 🧡💙

Very good work to everyone here! And I'm very happy to how this turn out with my main Hanmei!
Human and night elf parents with their 4 children, playing in Bel'ameth, dad cheating with bear form for the catch/battle play. Little Oran says he wishes to live here forever. Mom Zoriaah looks upset, and Haldiel stops the playing
Haldiel go to his wife to comfort her and to know what is upsetting her. She asks if he feels at home in Bel'ameth, and she cries after he says "yes", because the New world tree helps him feel home, as she remembers their lost home in Darnassus, during the burning of Teldrassil.
Haldiel hugs her and says that if she still feels better in Stormwind, they will stay in Stormwind, and she doesn't have to be sorry for her feelings. They go back in their Stormwind house, and one week later comes Asmoce, the parents' best friend, the kids all her auntie. She has a surprise for them before sailling to Gilneas with her own family.
Zoriaah, eyes behind a black eyeband and on deerform-Haldiel, walks to the Elwynn forest (the housing zone we didn't know the name by the time we were drawing) and gift them A HOUSE. Shocked, Zoriaah tries to tell gently that Asmoce looses her mind gifting such expansive gifts, but Haldiel cuts her thoughts saying "before you get mad at me..." She understands he KNEW about this idea, and is getting a bit mad, but listens to him and goes to see the inside, full of night elf furniture. She is about to cry when Asmoce explains Haldiel told her about the feeling of Darnassus' loss and she bought the furniture to make her feel at home. Zoriaah bursts in tears and jumps in Haldiel's arms thanking him, before asking if he would be alright too. "Don't worry, my home is wherever you are" he answers. The End.
My "Tree Home" comic
Better read in the Interlude alongside with all my comrades @wowcomicanthology.bsky.social
The comic title is One More Minute The page shows Dalaran, themage city, dreamy pastel sunset colours, sparkles and the iconic sandy slates. Lariemar (Larie for her friends) is walking away from the Violet Citadel, saying her friendly goodbyes to Kalecgos, Khadgar and Modera. She holds a little orange box in her hand. Larie is an Arcane Illusionist who grew up in Dalaran and works as a diplomat for the Kirin Tor, she is very much friends with the members of the Council of Six.
Larie has a little trip around town, first shown at the Violet Citadel, then going to the Toy Shop, the Greenhouse, the Well (with Pepe on sitting on it) and finally the Cheese and Wine shop. She is greeted by the owners as a regular customer, the lady mentioning how much she grew (as she does every time since she was a little girl, even though she hasn't really grown for many years).
Larie arrives at her Dalaran home, full of curiosities, crystals, magical plants, a blackboard with all sorts of scientific notes, her desk with books flying around. She opens a magical door to a secret room (actually a pocket dimension) where she keeps her secret hoard. I didn't have time to draw the rest, but if you read this, imagine it's full of gems! She adds her newest piece to an empty shelf from the orange box she carried around. She hears a knocking sound
Her face turns fearful that her secret room will be discovered as her Uncle checks on her after missing dinner. Suddenly the sparkly Dalaran scene turns into a dark room in Dornogal and it reveals that Dalaran is a mere illusion she escapes to. However lifelike it is, there is no sparkling city, no citadel, no sunset, no cheese lady anymore. (For non-WoW players, Dalaran was completely destroyed in the beginning of the expansion, killed many NPC and robbed the players from one of the most beautiful and iconic zones of the whole game) Only a memory left to get lost in for just one more minute...

Page one of my comic. The title "Bitter Cold" is at the top, and my handle @neo-kajatrash is next to it. The first panel is Copperwell with a huge fir-lined coat on his shoulders (which he has for the entire comic), and he's cast in a dramatic blue light with snow sweeping past him. Underneath him is a splash panel of the city of Kezan in a much warmer, sepia-toned light (which the Kezan scenes stays for the entire comic) from a high point where you can see a lot of it. The text is in boxes. The first one says "Kameron Copperwell..." And the second one says "...What have you done?"
Page two of my comic. We zoom into the city to see Copperwell as a child, young brother Rusty, even younger sister Maxine, and mother Nixie. Copperwell is shrugging with a big smile. He says "What~?" "I didn't do nothin'!" With crossed arms, his mom says "I said not to pierce your ears until your birthday." (note: Copperwell's ears are indeed pierced) Copperwell says "But--it's only next week!" Rusty, in sign language, says "I told him not to." Their mother rolls her eyes with a grin, and says "Thank you, Rusty." "Well... I wonder if you want your birthday dinner early, too." Copperwell, now walking next to his siblings and mom, says "Yay!!" In the last panel, we see their silhouettes in the foreground, with Copperwell's adult self lingering behind them. He's standing under a street lamp that has a harsh blue glow, casting him in a completely different light than the otherwise warm scene. The final box says "You just get away with everything..."
Page three of my comic. We zoom in on Copperwell's frowning face, and when we zoom back out we see him sitting at the family dinner table in his childhood home. They're having seafood pasta, and all are smiling except for adult Copperwell--who is still cast in a hard blue light from the window behind him. The box of text at the top says "...Don't you, Kameron?" The front door opens, with the sound effect "fooosh" as a gust of snowy wind rushes in. Adult Copperwell looks over warily to see two large yellow eyes in the darkness beyond the door, saying "Kameron..." Suddenly, we see each family member sitting happily in the foreground, with the bad final memories of each of them filling the panels behind them. A bigger gust of snow sweeps across them. Maxine drowns (a teen in this moment), Nixie leaves on a ship never to return, and Rusty (as an adult) is turning away, beyond hurt and beyond furious. Copperwell yells "W-wait--!" "Don't go!" His eye snaps open as he wakes from his dream. He shouts "NO--!" and we see him wrapped up in his fluffy pink coat in a blue darkness. Someone has opened a door behind him, and with a "..." he turns with a sour frown to see them.
Page four of my comic. The goblin Saul is standing in the doorway wearing warm clothes, and we can see now that Copperwell is huddled in the corner of a cabin. The wood stove is in place, but nearly everything else--such as the bed, kettle, stool, and picture frame--are tossed around and broken. A window from behind Copperwell glows a sharp blue. Saul says "...I brought some warm clothes." Copperwell, with tears in his eyes and a hard glare, looks away and says "I... I want to go home." Saul, who we see is holding the folded clothes he mentioned, answers him with a serious expression. "No. I ain't letting you go back. Not to destroy yourself." "And you know I took care of things in Bilgewater." Copperwell, with a tear down his cheek, says, "Not. Bilgewater." "..." "Kezan." With the last dialogue, we see that they're in a quaint cabin among trees and snow, with sweeping, snowy wind blowing across the frame. In the distance is the town of Everlook, which tells us that they're in Winterspring.
Here's Bitter Cold in full! ❄️🌨️
It's got sharp melancholy, bitter loneliness, and backgrounds that took me a hundred years x)
