Choosing Chemistry: Life and the Universe over General Chem was the best thing I have done this semester. The class is fun and easy and I really want to take Dr. Gallagher’s Forensics class just so I can hear more about his work on NOPD corruption, which we make him talk about anyway 🤣

I have spent the last few days doing something for me. We had to give up our office when my MIL couldn’t care for herself anymore. They came and picked up her hospital furniture on Tuesday and I have been working to clean things and setting up my side of the office again.

This class is cultural anthropology - we have explored religion, gender, language, medical and economic anthropology

I love that we got to choose our topic!

It controls my A1C but I have not lost any weight.

Because this week isn’t enough of a shit show, the shellfish allergic kid ate a fried wonton from a Chinese restaurant and is now having an allergic reaction.

I tried to go to class today, I struggled to put one foot in front of the other and then a minor inconvience happened and I was done with the day.

So my anthropology paper is on the cultural and economic impact of the Eras Tour and how female fandoms are ridiculed and thought to be childish even when they create a huge impact like Swifties do which we don’t see in male fandoms (cough sports)

We’ve been talking about this in Chemistry because my professor is the one all over the news that researched all the NOPd overtime. It’s insane.

I’m looking to interview for two local business owners that would be willing to talk about the economic impact of the Eras Tour in New Orleans on their business and how Swifties compare - not only economically but culturally to other visiting fandoms for my anthropology paper.

I think that’s my issue. I really just want to see what my friends are talking about and my feed is nothing but 🍊🤡

I may need to reach out. I honestly can’t think about it until the semester is over with in a few weeks.

Oh the ex is still a deadbeat and isn’t paying child support. Though I suspect I’ll get something this month since we go back to court on the 4th.

Right now everything seems overwhelming. But there are some bright spots, and that’s what I am holding on to.

I really don’t know how we are going to handle cleaning out her house.

It’s A LOT. We may have to rent a dumpster.

We thought about having Occasional Wife or someone come through and see if anything is worth selling.

Today we started the process of cleaning our MIL’s things in our house so that we can have our office back.

We are both kind of ignoring the process of cleaning out her house as she was a hoarder and we both are very much “just throw it away people”.

The girl child is staring in her own medical drama it seems. She’s recently been diagnosed with POTS, PCOS and started having seizures so that’s fun.

It’s been awhile, I miss you all but I do very much dislike BlueSky.

School is going great. I have 4 A’s and a B going into the last 4 weeks. I have a huge anthropology paper to right and 3 finals on one day but I’ll live.
