That's honestly been my experience too; that people on reddit are surprisingly mature when it comes to fictional content. Contrast that with Twtr/Bluesky users or big discord servers where you get called "disgusting" "disturbing", etc.. for being into some thing slightly out of the accepted norm

And some art is going to naturally be more niche than others, and that's okay. It doesn't need to appeal to everyone.

People not liking your art doesn't mean they want you to fail, or that there's anything wrong with it. It might simply be that the art you're making doesn't appeal to their tastes/niche. So they're might not be anything to tell. Nothing anyone makes is ever going to appeal to everyone.

Also due to increasing pressure to be accepted by normal society; some feel compelled to "cleanse" the fandom of the sexual or fetish elements, even though most are harmless, because many non-furries also lack that maturity to accept those who are different/make them uncomfortable.

Younger furries (and others who have lacking mental-age) do tend to lack that maturity to accept things that are different to their personal tastes or make them uncomfortable; jumping to the conclusion that it is wrong or bad based solely on their discomfort or preconceptions about the stimuli.

I've experienced this lately. Mainly in response to my VR avatar base. A loud minority of people (including Jinxxy store, and some discords) have banned my product from sale/advertisement because they claim it's zoo content even though it's just a VR anthro furry avatar with a realistic art style.

I'd love to just ignore it, but man is it hard to ignore when the loud minority are getting your products banned from sale on a marketplace or banning you from advertising it in spaces that would otherwise give the product a lot of visibility.
