Speaking to reporters on AF1, a NYT reporter asked a VERY direct ques, & Trumps’s answer was … weird.
But, what jumped out at me was tht the reporter (♂) from NYT (a 📰 he doesn’t like) actually recv’d an answer & not an insult.

My governor in CA (Gavin Newsom) tried to do the same but he wanted to exempt state LEO so a judge ‘pumped the brakes’ a bit. I think they’ll go back & adjust it.
