There are some games deserving of the title, but it's now being applied to any indie coop game. It doesn't help that the silly co-op game genre is the new hotness so everyone is rushing to put out half-assed games.

When you have an audience or a business you have to ensure that you always provide a lot more value to people than you extract from them. If you don't then, long term, it all breaks down.
