This isn’t a commentary on the subject matter of book, but at a time when trust in the media is polling historically low, reporters do themselves and their outlets a major disservice when they publish these expose books after the fact when they were reporting on the subject full time in the moment.
Notre Dame and UConn continue the Independent dominance during the college football postseason.
Congrats to Tennessee on ensuring the UConn game will air on Fox at the correct time.
Providence: It’s tough to beat a mid-major from upstate NY
Ed Cooley roller skating backwards: it’s not that hard.
Fun fact: UConn’s 12 wins at MSG the last 3 seasons are more than any other college basketball program in the country.
Hearing Gameday is gonna be live from Margaritas on Silver Lane.
In South Bend in the 12-5 game?
I know people are impatient and want to know where UConn Football is playing next but we need to see how the ACC title game shakes out before we know if UConn is in or out of the playoff.
We talk a lot about there being no good candidates for Big East expansion, but adding URI would give the league a second school in New England and provide UConn a natural rival in conference. Something I think the league should seriously consider.
UConn men’s basketball: still undefeated on the mainland.
Not going to lie that was one of the most satisfying wins of the Dan Hurley era. REALLY needed that one.
Let’s go Huskies!!
I think this may legitimately be proudest I’ve ever been of a UConn Football squad. There wasn’t much expected of this group, but they showed up every single week, battled and managed to secure an incredible 8-win campaign with hopefully more to come.
Let’s go Huskies!!
First down. Midfield. 3 timeouts. Over a minute left. Averaging 7.4 yards per carry.
5 passes and 1 designed run.
What are we even doing here?
Wake up it’s gameday! One last Owl hunt this fall! Beat UMass Amherst!! Go Huskies!
Big shoutout to the class of The Ocean State, the URI Rams on their 7-0 start! Year in and year out they prove how they are the one true Rhode Island college hoops program!
Well, I sure am glad I slept through that game. What an absolute mess we’ve got on our hands.
I think the officiating has been objectively awful, but I also think Dan could have done better. It is what it is. Everyone we’ll grow and learn from this trip.
Gasp a college coach that shows emotions and is fiery on the sideline!? Now I’ve seen it all.
I think it’s hilarious that Dan Hurleys sideline “antics” were more or less ignored the last 18 months as he won back to back titles but now it’s a major problem again. People just need something to talk about.
Been battling food poisoning since last night and I gotta say this game certainly did not make me feel any better. This team had a LOT of work to do to get right. It’s a long season but man, you simply cannot lose that game.
Memphis shot 55% from the field and 55% from 3. Huskies have a lot to work on, but you really do need to tip your cap to how well the Tigers played today.
Again, the team fought back in an insane way and this isn’t the end of the world. Really bad officiating and a bad T by Hurley lost them the game. But it’s the 5th game of the season. There’s a lot to learn from here though and I’m confident the Huskies will rebound and be fine.
What can you say? Huskies exposed a bit this game. Tip your hat to Memphis for shooting the lights out, and gotta love the fight from the Huskies, but we were overmatched most of the game. Dan and co need to figure out lineups, because 40% of the starting lineup’s a liability.
St. John’s not embarrass the entire Big East challenge (impossible)
100%
Solo is the most explosive guy we have seen in a while. His ability to score from wherever at will in short bursts is a game changer. Would like to see him sustain it more consistently over 40, but he’s damn good.
Not at all. I know I am!
Just about 24 hours until Maui kicks off, how we feeling UConn fans?
Just home and have some thoughts:
- Cuse was clearly the talented team on offense, but the Huskies hung with them punch for punch.
- Play calling continues to be a major liability.
- This a frustrating loss because we were right there.
No more moral wins, but lot to build on. Onto UMass.
