No news is good news.
No news is good news.
Reminds me of when the AB gov't stopped reporting on class sizes, only far more disgusting.
In response to reporting about deaths, province has decided to no longer produce data related to deaths

yeah I'm quite aware I didn't close my fitness ring
Why do I have to pretend that I'm going to print something in order to save it as a PDF. Why do I have to engage in a little ruse.
Yeah, Iβm not sure how someone equates a risk assessment based on heavy amounts of vibrating vehicle traffic to the requirements of walkers, cyclists and some static plants.
I mean, it could still be unsafe but theyβre essentially saying, case closed.
βPierre Poilievre has become the Justin Trudeau of the Conservative Party,β said one ex-MP, with the other two sources echoing the exact same phrase.

I am listening to prefab sprout for the first time in at least a decade because of this post, I want you to know
If Danielle Smith calls an early election, how does she separate herself from the separatism campaign without separating herself from the separatist vote?
Call me old fashioned but I donβt think we should be taking democracy lessons from a guy who orchestrated a dark horse campaign to help him win a provincial leadership race
Hey, about that premise.
Thatβs within your purview, to vote based on person over party.
My vote weighs heavily on the person running. I also vote for people with integrity and backbone so, if they counter the whip or cross the floor because they deem their sports team to be on the wrong side of history, so be it.
What exactly was his goal?
He goes there, some sort of random good US/Canada news enters the cycle and he takes credit for it?
Ridiculous gamble.
Would one more floor-crosser do the trick? Or is this about more than getting a majority?
Wait, what seat?
How to introduce a provincial police service to a province that doesnβt want it
1 - Change police funding model to put a bigger burden on municipalities
2 - Property taxes increase due to change
3 - Residents get upset, are more likely to conclude RCMP doesnβt work for them/welcome provincial police
This is exactly what we need in Canadian politics.
And itβs exactly what Tragedy in the Commons writers prescribed for a stronger democracy a decade ago.
The LPC should not punish him. Theyβd do well to note that respectful disagreement and diversity of opinions makes for a better party.
Bruce Fanjoy: Statement Regarding the Return to Office Policy February 9*, 2026 On February 5th, 2026, the federal government announced an updated Return-to-Office (RTO) policy for federal public servants. Today, I am calling upon the government to reconsider this policy for the following reasons: 1. The new RTO policy makes it harder to achieve the government's priorities of reducing the operating cost of government, improving affordability, and respecting the environment. Instead, it will cost both the government and citizens more and increase pollution. 2. There is little to no evidence that a one-size-fits-all RTO policy will improve productivity or service to Canadians. 3. The RTO policy makes it harder for public servants to balance work with other responsibilities. I believe Canada is better served by a hybrid model that balances a mix of in-office and remote work. The right balance is flexible and depends on circumstances. Done well, a hybrid model reduces the cost of government and benefits workers and all Canadians. To my constituents in Carleton, I hear you. I will continue to press for solutions that work for you and all Canadians. Sincerely, Bruce Fanjoy Member of Parliament for Carleton
Liberal MP Bruce Fanjoy from the Ottawa-area riding or Carleton is breaking ranks with the Carney government on its Return to Office policy for public servants:
βThere is little to no evidence that a one-size-fits-all RTO policy will improve productivity or service to Canadiansβ
Two parties immediately come to mind.
Or they could get their shit together
I still alt+0151. I'll never stop.

Another topic, since removed from their website: Currency exchange and adoption agreements.
What are AB prosperity/freedom folks meeting with US officials about?
Probably their published plans to separate without Canada's cooperation:
"Alberta can maintain its mandate by issuing a de facto declaration of independence dependent on recognition from the international community."

I mean
There have to be some of the smarter CPC MPs working on a course correction in the background, right? Right?
Yeah, we all remember this right
APP's sovereignty plan document talks about Alberta adopting USD as their currency (temporarilyβha.)
I honestly assumed these meetings were anything but secret.
