Itβs finally here. π

Has anyone found a way to use Git worktrees in iOS projects without having to re-download all Swift packages for each worktree? π€
This defeats the entire purpose of Git worktreesβit's slowing me down and consuming a lot of disk space. π
When you've been struggling with a memory issue for so long, and then @Dimillian comes and asks:
"Did you try autoreleasepool?"
If you don't want to use your job's AI credits for personal projects, this is super useful for configuring multiple Claude Code accounts.

Woodworking project with the one and only @nsphin!
Overheard in our (remote) office: βCoding without AI is like returning to the Stone Age.β
I recently flew from MontrΓ©al to Lisbon.
6-hour flight.
No kid to manage.
Opened laptop.
Realized I couldn't use Claude Code without Internet access.
Realized I wasn't going to spend 6 hours doing something AI could do in 10 minutes.
Closed laptop.
That's the world we live in.
I've just moved the settings out of my tab bar, and it feels like it's completely transformed my app (for the better)! π
Sometimes, a simple change makes a big difference.
Ok, a hint about my next app:
π΄β
Just spent 3 full days adding animation to the onboarding of my upcoming app. β¨
I know they say to ship fast, but it was pure bliss. π€
Just subscribed for a month to try out screensdesign.com.
I need some inspiration to finalize the design of my upcoming app. π
I recently integrated haptic feedback into my upcoming iOS app and found that the best way to manage it is by creating helper functions for common actions.
How are you doing it?
Iβm having a lot of fun playing with Liquid Glass for my upcoming app! π
The GlassEffectContainer component is neat.π
Ideal for onboarding or multi-step processes.
Before becoming a dad, I feared losing motivation once I became a parent.
The reality is quite the opposite. I've never been more productive since becoming a dad. Whenever I have a few spare minutes, I dedicate them to my side projects.
What did I do with my free time before? I have no idea.
At first, I thought, βOh, finally Apple implemented the touch cursor when recording a video in iOS 26. Thatβs neat!β
Then I realized it only happens inside the Linear appβ¦ π
They implemented it themselves! Genius! π
TIL you can submit the form to ask Apple to feature your app even if itβs still a WIP, since you can provide a TestFlight link.
Has anyone ever done this?
I'm rushing to finish an app I started in January for the iOS 26 release.
I won't finish it a month in advance to ask Apple to potentially feature it (their recommended notice period), but I'll have time to reach out to journalists at least 2 weeks in advance.
Exciting times! β‘
A few weeks ago, I created a special Obsidian page for usetype.app.
It already accounts for 25% of my traffic. π
Wow, a user just purchased the lifetime usetype.app license...
...One year after starting the 7-day free trial! π€―
I'm really surprised at how good ChatGPT can be for brainstorming UX flows.
It almost always improves my initial ideas into something that really makes sense.
Or is it just good at selling me its ideas? π
The 80-20 rule.
I'm feeling it right now as I work to finish my app.
The final 20% takes 80% of the time. π₯΅
I'm going to release my new app in September. π
Just moved all my remaining tasks spread across @notion and Apple Notes to @linear.
Time to get serious! πͺ
Prediction: In the world of AI and automated responses, chat with AI, etc., weβll see a wave of customer support tools that enable companies to appear more "human."
Appearing human becoming an increasingly obvious way to stand out.
I'm considering integrating an AI feature into usetype.app just to see if it increases downloads.
What about transcribing a note using AI from anywhere on your Mac (without relying on a third-party tool)? ποΈ
Accessed through a second global shortcut, saving results in your selected note.
When I started working on my new app, I felt overwhelmed by the amount of work.
In those moments, I try to trust the process and build a bit more every day, bit by bit.
Until I reach the point where Iβm like, "Holy cow! I have a fully functional app now!"
One step at a time β°οΈ
I'm working on the paywall this week.
Given everything I've read about paywalls so far, I'm thinking about implementing a hard paywall.
Mostly because I don't want / don't have the time to deal with a free limited version.
I just hope it won't hurt my ranking too much.
Back from a break, and ready for a big challenge.
I've been working on a new app for 3 months now, here and there, during my free time.
But I want to accelerate the process, so I'm setting a challenge to publish the app by May 15th, even if it's not perfect!
Let's go! π
Using AI dev tools is like reviewing PRs all day long.
I increasingly believe that excellent UX and UI are crucial for success. With so many apps being developed using AI, standing out visually is essential.
I've always believed this, but now more than ever.
Enhanced the onboarding experience with animations in the latest usetype.app 1.5 update. β¨
