I wonder if there is some new book marketed at Provosts promoting this "new math" theory. This is my 6th Provost. They all need to earn their own gold star. But they are doing permanent damage to the humanities and redefining what it means to be a university.

Plz share more. We just lost 20% of our TT in history (1 line not filled w a departure- we almost lost 2) based on same math. Except they didn't look at our freshmen, majors, AND grad. Instead decided our grad was in red- cuz of hiring deal now departing prof had-took line & told us to work harder.

I am pretty well versed w ATA women. I had planned to do that as next project. Have so many great letters, oral histories, and even knew 2 of the American women. But new book just came out this year so plans sunk. Really bummed as had planned it for many, many years.

I dont know that book but will check it out! Not a bad idea for a WWII book!
