We think the "wild card" is Bowie. 😻 This sweet guy has only been in the room a short time, but his gentle demeanor is helping the others let their guard down. He is showing them that our love is sincere and it is safe to trust. (3/4)
Violet is now accepting affection and playing with toys. Tammy Faye is out and about, even meowing at staff. Even Mia, our shy Siamese who usually only appears on camera after we leave, has started posing for a few pictures! (2/4)
Change can be hard, especially for cats. Our Wild Side room was built for former community cats who still have a bit of the wild in them. Violet, Tammy Faye, and Mia have historically kept to the corners, but lately, something is shifting. 🐾 🌿 (1/4)
We’ve done Side Eye Sunday, but what about Wide Eyed Sunday? Stitch often looks startled, but that’s his usual expression. He has cool fur patterns and bright yellow eyes. Recently, I learned he wags his tail when dinner time approaches. We’ll get video of that soon.

Someone's turning 8 years old today! Our sweet, lap loving Baylor is celebrating her birthday and will be showered with affection and love from all directions. Easily one of the favorites for our volunteers, it is rare to not see Baylor curled up in a lap and holding someone hostage 😻

Bear Watch! UPDATE
Bear is doing well. Though shy at the sanctuary, he’s become adventurous since arriving in Cookie’s Kingdom. Initially hiding, he was found atop the highest perch yesterday. His confidence grows, and we eagerly await getting to know him and his quirks better.
Arnold could not even wake up for his photo, while Tabbytha only managed to get her head out of bed. Then there is Edith, who puts in a solid 20 hours a day in any soft bed she can find. 😹
