I’ve taken a very reasonable sub to Reuters. Clear, factual, up to date news. Worth it to avoid everyone and his dog’s opinion.

An excellent piece that should make the complainers examine their motives. Bravo Lewis Goodall.

I’m so sick of the Guardian’s headlines I’m a whisker close to stopping my subscription.
Very interesting! Thank you @beccyscottuk.bsky.social

Almost nobody in the media reported on the former Tory Government's sweeping power grab of the electoral commission. This week Labour have announced that they will reverse what Boris Johnson did and return the commission to independence.
Ofcourse Labour will get absolutely no credit for doing this
Just for the record, Reform UK also didn’t win any council by-elections tonight.
Surely this calls in to question Nigel Farage’s leadership.
#GortonAndDenton
Another 11 positive announcements in just 36 hours. Focusing on the Courts/Tribunals, homelessness and new homes approved in Sheffield. The drones now working to find fly tippers still yielding results and Oxford Street pedestrianised from summer. 👏👏👏👏
Please read this article to the end. Even before ICE got involved, this started because this *blind man who speaks no English and uses a curtain rod as a walking stick* got lost on a walk and some Karen called the police on him and they tasered and beat him bc he didn’t drop the rod. WTF
Best choice is to #VoteLabour.
It's a Labour seat, & they have already delivered (or are on course for) 63 of their 92 Election pledges from 2024.
We waited 14yrs for a Labour Government to put People & Services first. It's already starting to happen.
Give Labour a chance & judge them after 5yrs.
Me too.
“Suella Braverman asked for my help to get maternity leave when she was Attorney General. As first pregnant AG she needed new rights. (I helped ofc, she took mat leave and returned to govt office) Depressing she now plans roll-back of rights for aother women”.
Harriet Harman
Problem is, Jenrick, you can go on #r4today and bemoan the state of the economy and the cost of living, you can claim to be oh so concerned… but we all know you’re full of shit. We know you don’t care. You spent years failing us as a Tory. You’ve swapped rosettes, not had a personality transplant.
If UK news shows won’t call this absolute boll**** out let do it ourselves
The Dyson MO.
Why? He’s a good man but the media got rid of him, as they will try with any Labour leader.
Go away Corbyn. You had your chance and you failed. Try to control your ego,
Chris Mason: Labour sticks with Starmer for now but this is not over..
Yeah no sh*t Mason you pompous little weasel.. you and your kind wont let it go, you’re committed not to reporting news but trying influencing anti Govt sentiment
Farage’s Treasurer Nick Candy is in the #Epstein and you’re 🙈🙉🙊
Does our media control who is in government, or do we, the people, who elected Sir Keir Starmer for a 5 year term, get to decide?
The media have been trying to remove him from power since day 1, to over the decision we made.
The anti-Starmer people don't want:
Meals for schoolchildren
Worker/renter protections
Rise in min wage
Winter fuel payments til 2030
Nationalising rail/freezing fares
Investment in NHS/child cancer services/waiting lists
Investment in green energy/capping bills
To work with EU for security
ECHR
Fingers crossed!
I’m standing outside a Commons committee room where Keir Starmer has walked in to a mass of loud applause from his MPs. It was very loud. Well, that settles it. He’s 100% safe now.
Productivity increases between 5% and 13% with working from home, and worker wellbeing improves hugely too.
But Farage doesn't care about reality. Or productivity. Or your wellbeing.
He cares about the workplace property investors who bankroll him.

Labour announce additional steps to hold people in public life to account:
+ legislation to remove peerages from disgraced peers
+ new process for directly appointed advisors and ambassadors
+ review if more measures for financial reporting are needed
+ review transparency around lobbying

Britain used to be known for its political stability. No longer.
There have been 6 Prime Ministers in 9 years since the Brexit referendum.
The 6 Prime Ministers before the referendum lasted 40 years.
The media have never forgiven Keir Starmer for leading the Phone Hacking Scandal.
They’re the people who hacked Millie Dowler’s phone making her parents have hope she was still alive.
It’s the Media, stupid.
Another result of Brexit that bears no resemblance to what Farage, Johnson, Gove, Rees-Mogg, etc promised
www.theguardian.com/environment/...
I just don’t care.
Most of our media is studiously ignoring the Epstein links to Brexit, Farage and far right populism. Farage is being touted for No.10. He wants an even more extreme Brexit. A race to the bottom to sell us out to this global network of oligarch crooks.
Why TF isn’t he being investigated and stopped?
For splitting the left wing vote and opening the door for reform, what a self-aggrandising creep.
