The extraction part in an extraction game should be the grand finale, not 15 seconds of me hiding behind a rock.
Give me a Gears of War style horde where I need to defend a position while waiting for Evac, it makes for the best gaming moments with friends or randoms.
What does an extraction game need to be successful in today's market?
Personally I think that genre needs to look at what makes extraction fun, which is the actual extraction mechanic.
Most games, I think should have the HellDivers 2 extraction where you wait for 1 or 2 minutes and survive a horde
