After a week in Croatia I've finally hit on the sweet spot that, unless an espresso lunatic, most everyone wants to ask for a veliki (large) macchiato and you'll be as happy as a hispter in fresh beans.

Being born in 1969, Mojtaba Khamenei is Iran's first GenX Supreme Leader.
I believe I quote all GenXers around the world in saying, "Oh... 'Rad'"
Russian aggression in Ukraine doesn't stop in its brutal stupidity and affects all aspects of life, even wine.

Couldn't tell you, but then again I'm not impressed by Cristal.
The obvious guess would be DRC but I'm going with the Armand de Brignac
When you stumble upon a rest stop full of football fans heading to a match in the town of their avowed rivals, there's this sensation of all the intelligence having been sucked out of the room.
Malvasia de Sitges, so very much FTW.

Slovenia always pours on the charm.
I was wondering if I'd been shadowbanned on Instagram but it turns out it just sucks.
Yeah, same here. I initially coded my own system until realizing using Wordpress made my life a lot easier. But pour a little on the curb for the five last Typepad users out there as the platform shut down completely last year.
Ah, the Eternal Blogspot Conundrum...
In all truth, I'm a fan of deleting absolutely anything online you're not using.
Another fine edition of this go-to reference for Greek wines.

Ah, casa meva. Abans no era perfecta, però prefereixo l'imperfecte per sobre de la inexistència, com ara.
I had to pull back from participating in a large wine competition as, despite being blind, the results were worse and worse each year as the quality of judges declined, despite being solid ages ago. And anything run on the OIV system is laughable beyond laughable.
Looking for a suhweeet Merlot in a sea of grapes? I might just have the thing for you.

Can we all be banned from seeing any more news coverage of this bellend unless he ends up in jail?
It's built to entertain
For just 2,200β¬ a month, you can live in a concrete shack located at the convenient intersection of two highways and surrounded by scenic, farming warehouses. Only a quick, 50 minute walk to the beaches and balconing capital of Salou. Hurry, this won't last!

Oh yes, been doing a small bit on the side for awhile now.
A different vantage on this unfortunate anniversary of Russia invading Ukraine.

A very important look at two-faced Tempranillo, in Ribera del Duero.

I think Barcelona is the island. Getting in or out from any direction these days seems impossible. I can't think of when I might go there again.
Against my better judgment.. it's 33,300 (400k/12) that *might* need to travel in any given month and in that group it's extremely unlikely that all would need to travel and that all would be without a passport.
Likewise, I find it very unlikely that these millions of Brits don't have British passports as the more likely case is that they're not citizens of the countries they immigrated to.
The article isn't framed in this light, but if that is the case, then that's just arrogant. It would never cross my mind to enter a country I was a citizen of without using that country's passport. Likewise, I would never not have a passport for a country I was a citizen of.
This has always been the case. You legally need to use US documents to enter and leave the US. Honestly, it's the same for Croatia so this BBC 'news' piece is anything but.
I thought I was developing dyslexia reading that thing as I couldn't understand what the point was other than inventing 'victimization' via immigration.
