Useful mechanic, especially easier to make blade appear evenly symmetrical from a front end perspective. But yeah there's tutorials, it's not a difficult thing to master. Sculpting is going to be the biggest thing that takes a lot of effort tho again depends how complicated you want the design to be
I'd also advise learning most tools and parameters, you won't use every single one but it's good to have a general idea on how to use them and learn easier shortcuts.
Yeah, also depends on how detailed you want it to be. But mostly think it just boils down to mirroring, extruding, and subdividing. It's only going to get easier the more effort put forth into it and blender is in fact a complicated tool for a reason to create a desired 3d model you envision.
