I didn’t mind the gauntlets tbh. I even like that one hell room to get to the conductors melody.
But I 100% count them as part of the run back too. Fantastic game 10/10 besides the run backs. They’re smelly and gross
I beat silksong! It didn’t get worse backtrack wise… well except for bilewater
I haven’t play hallow knight but I started with silk song. It’s masterpiece and my only issue are the run backs. They are so painful and not in a cool fun way like the rest of the game
But I also haven’t finished it yet so maybe it gets better
