Yeah I do notice it's very apparent in discord servers. I think spaces that have a sort of chatroom vibe (discord, webfishing, vrchat/vrc adjacent games) make it very obvious when a group is welcoming or if they fall into a clique sorta vibe
This is the dealbreaker for me joining a space usually, if I join a space and noone gives a shit I'm very unlikely to want to engage further
