He did, per NPR, eventually get an AA.

He's only there because there was criticism that he wasn't going to be there. So he decided to go. Means nothing to him.

I have one. It's teeny, with a teeny light.

Did you see the recruiting tweet a week or so ago? "Bad grades don't matter, just absolute loyalty to Trump." (Paraphrased)

Yeah, I got to Boston too late to experience it, too. Maybe somebody should re-start the custom for a generation just discovering "Casablanca."

It's Andy Ogles. He's a recognized nutcase. Going nowhere.

Back in the '60s, it ran for months (maybe years; I wasn't there yet) the Brattle Theater in Cambridge ran it regularly. The entire audience famously recited the dialogue all the way through. You'd have fit right in!

the price of oil surging means you can burn your shein clothes, extract the oil, and make more money than you paid

In a way, that's so, or not in the same way. In the '70s I was the only employed person trying to make decent meals & keep the lights on. That doesn't mean retired people aren't affected. Most of us are on fixed incomes and aren't able to go back to work for health reasons. Plenty to worry about.

Link? Vance has no principles, so I take that with a pound of salt.

Sadly, a grand jury last month declined to indict the officers. I'll bet they never saw this video.

No. Not at all.

And now, as locals fight back & get sellers of warehouses to pull out, Trump is talking about eminent domain to obtain them. They're very serious about setting up camps. Stopping it before it starts is top priority now.

Why? Because the MAGAS, who a week before were strongly oppised to war against Iran, flipped to 94% olapproval of the Iran attacks. Because whatever he says or does, that's what they believe. They flip overnight when he tells them to. So, the 29% overall approval shot up to 40% this week.

Your anger is misplaced. Maybe displaced. Why does pointing out that one's experience makes a difference in one's reactions upset you so much? I don't disagree with anything else in your post. Your reaction is disproportionate.

07.03.2026 18:00 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Ffs, all I did was point out a difference of experience. No, I look to other entities for rational statistics, not Trump's. Ofc they lie about everything. There's plenty to be angry & frightened about. I see what's happening beyond me. I pointed out the experience of a generation, that's all.

07.03.2026 17:57 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

All I said was "extreme" hits different based on experience, not that anything isn't real. And yes, I complained bitterly back then, as I dropped food items like beef and bought canned tuna instead, that the items measured in the "basket" weren't the ones that mattered.

07.03.2026 17:53 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Not saying it's not a problem, or that some prices, like for meat, aren't unaffordable. I walk away from meat shelves all the time. But when you had 13%, 14%, 15% inflation, you just can't see the current rate as extreme. Even now, there are no gas lines yet. I've sat in those, too. Probably coming.

07.03.2026 17:35 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Well, coffee doesn't affect me because I don't drink it. Not saying prices aren't rising while wages for most people aren't. Just that I've lived through years when prices rose much higher. And my wages were held down by "wage & price controls." I just can't see <3% as "extreme inflation."

07.03.2026 17:30 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Everybody has. It's a regular topic among my acquaintances.

07.03.2026 17:24 ๐Ÿ‘ 2 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Everything but extreme inflation. It's 2.5%, right? We olds still remember 15% inflation in the '70s.

07.03.2026 17:11 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yes, and I've been terrified for a while now.

07.03.2026 17:08 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Could? In my city, in TEXAS, where prices are always lower than most places, it's already up $.60 from my last fill-up ten days ago. Higher at a few stations I saw yesterday.

06.03.2026 19:14 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Today's poll shows 12% of Americans are in favor of war with Iran. I've never seen a poll # that low for anything. >60% oppose. But Trump nust keeps bumbling alng, with the stupidest SecDef ever, who apparently thinks he's playing a video game. They thought killing Khomeini was all they had to.

06.03.2026 19:12 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yep. It will never, ever happen.

So they still don't understand *why* their sales slumped. Amazing.

Oh, no. So extortion and threats work? Terrible precedent.

You do realize Crockett won't be in Congress in 2027? The House is not going to elect a non-member as Speaker.
