Let’s be clear: the Trump Admin is lying to the American people. This has never been about stopping drugs from coming to the US — it’s about grabbing Venezuela’s oil for his billionaire buddies. Trump has put American troops in harm’s way to boost oil company profits. Outrageous.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

D.C. residents deserve the same right to govern themselves as every other community.
Yet House Republicans, who know little about D.C., are pushing bills that meddle in what should be local decisions.
I stand with D.C. leaders against these harmful attacks.
The regime targeted Rep. McIver for conducting legislative oversight at an ICE facility in her district (or doing her job).
We hoped the courts would recognize this for the political persecution it is and dismiss the charges. Unfortunately, a federal judge ruled that the case could go to trial.
