Got a notice of intended prosecution in the post. Gutted to get fined and Three points on licence.
Felt better to find it was Mrs B in my car hurtling up the M6 at 89mph. Hopefully her last Six points have ran out by now.

Not sure which lovely person I follow on here recommended this book but I’m glad they did. Loved it. The lives of the women take centre stage rather than male serial killer protagonist. #booksky

Same here. One going next year & the other the year after. A mortgage on top of the mortgage.

A family in front of a sign saying they were captured by escape the fort.

Half term and the kids have been like 8 year olds we have to entertain. Done bowling, crazy golf and today failed brilliantly at a WW2 escape room.
Hopefully they can go back to spending all day in bed scrolling like they’re supposed to & give me a break.

With a name like that and such a glowing description from David himself I’m surprised they weren’t massive. 😉
Thanks for finding that out.

He gets a mention in the James Brown Loaded book about him being in a band too. Very fleeting though so yeah, probably terrible.

Portrait of author David Peace.

Met David at a reading for a reading of Red or Dead. Told him I’d read all the Red Riding books one after another. He looked at me with a frown and said ‘why would you put yourself through that?’ He had a point to be fair. Also got a portrait of him. Lovely bloke.

An afternoon snack of hot cross buns whilst editing the shit out of terrible theatre lights whilst listening to Gil Scott-Heron. The revolution will be properly white balanced.

The book cover art for the Kevin Rowland audiobook.

Just finished this. A strange autobiography to say the least. He’s made terrible decision again & again with his life and career.
Glad he’s acknowledged his mistakes with friends & ex band members and tried to make amends but probably a better title for this would have been ‘With Hindsight’.

I had a brief stint at CoOp funeral care last year. Eight including me of 13 staff had read your book. You definitely have an audience in that sector. Look forward to your next book. May get it from the library to give you a boost in a year :)

Been sent this photo of myself from a mate. Judging by the hat, it’s mid 90’s. Still have it somewhere. Strange to see that fresh faced twenty something again.

No money left after Christmas but still manage to find it for gig tickets. Bit like kids and making room for pud after leaving half their food. If you’ve not heard of her then you may well enjoy something new.

Really sad news about Martin Parr. He was such an influence on mine and so may others photography. He saw the beauty and joy in the mundanity of life and brought it to life in his work. What a legacy of work he’s left behind for us.
