A company running a city sounds like a nightmare, but I do like the idea of this. I feel like a good group of people could rejuvenating an abandoned city would be the same spirit.
I've heard of Council Bluffs! I'm along the border of Illinois. I'm from the Quad Cities area, but I've been in Cedar Rapids attending Kirkwood. I might just stay.
I didn't realize you were from Iowa as well. I don't see a lot of fellow Iowans in the wild!
Super cute!
My story, "He Cried in a Hardware Store", was published by Still Here Magazine as a digital exclusive. They included some nice art with it too. You will need to subscribe to read it, but subscription is free!
I figured, but I also read it as Call of Duty and thought it was oddly fitting
🤣
That's INSANE. The more I think about it, the worse it gets
Congrats!
Thank you!

Maybe don't shake it. Sit down with it and have a conversation. Dance with it. Then offer it some tea and ask it to be quiet. I know I'm just an internet stranger, but I'm rooting for you!
My short story, "Beneath the Yellow Streetlight" was published by Kings River Review.
I mean "this many stories" lol
I published eight stories this year. One, "He Cried in a Hardware Store" was published twice and received no rejections. It was also my first publication. This was my first year taking publishing seriously and I didn't expect to land three stories. #blessed
I love that. Would make a cool story where the chosen one is simply a formality in bureaucracy.
Yes, you are the chosen one 😝
That's actually so dang cool
You should apply! Never know what might happen!
absolutely gorgeous
My short story, "The Wickie", was published in Journal of the Westbrae Literary Group! My second publication! www.amazon.com/dp/B0G3XVJ4RT

I agree, your agent might know better. My own workflow is less traditional wisdom. When I'm not eager for my work, I take a break until I figure out why. If I force it, I'm just afraid it'll show in my work, you know?
