Our latest collection of #free_education_resources explores #molecular #microbiology with Professor Tracy Raivio (@traivio.bsky.social) from the University of Alberta. How can studying #bacteria and their #viruses help solve the problem of #antibiotic_resistance?

This was a brand new kind of research dissemination for me! Hopeful this #openeducationresource reaches and encourages many kids to explore #research ad #science futures!!
If you have been affected by the fires in LA, or are concerned about your ability to keep precious Drosophila strains going during the latest funding crisis, we will host your strains as a backup. Please email me.
Please amplify. If you are also able to host fly strains, add your name as well.
Is it me or has this week been 70 years long?
Letβs stop treating "leaving academia" as negative. Scientists train for academia, industry, or what suits them. Industry isnβt an alternative; itβs a choice. In fields like engineering, most PhDs go to industry, and no one calls it "leaving academia." We should train scientists for diverse paths.
If you're into #bacteriophages and combining π§ͺ & π» and looking for a PhD, @suzieh.bsky.social has a project, with yours truly as supporting cast! 'Secret weapons or molecular junk? Hi Paul! Yes - lots of new adventures in science and leadership. So happy to have already connected to so many friends here!
Thanks Mark! Great to βseeβ you! π
I have missed the format, community and science of the old #twitter since I abandoned it. Is it better here? Feels heavy to start all over, but here goesβ¦.help me out with community if you know me!!
