A piece of paper with information about the Homebrew Computer Club. It reads "Are you building your own computer? Terminal? TV Typewriter? I/O device? or some other digital black-magic box? Or are you buying time on a time-sharing service? If so, you might like to come to a gathering of people with like-minded interests. Exchange information, swap ideas, talk shop, help work on a project, whatever... We are getting together Wednesday nite, March 5th, 7pm. If you can't make it this time, drop us a card for the next meeting. See ya there" There is a signature at the bottom.
On this day in 1975, the Homebrew Computer Club held its first meeting. Steve Wozniak would eventually demonstrate a prototype of the Apple 1 at the club in 1976.

As someone that is on the Debian version of LM I hope it goes well and hoping the transition to Wayland continues to go smoothly
Honestly I'm surprised that it was still around for much longer until that point as its demise had already occurred long before
If you don't know the reason Netscape died was mostly due to Microsoft's anticompetitive practices with IE in the 90s which led to that antitrust lawsuit from the DOJ
Netscape Navigator running on a Windows computer.
On this day in 2008, AOL discontinued support for all versions of the Netscape browser.
This is why you need to do your research people and not rely on misinformation
Even though I did kind of fall for it I knew it was not true even Microsoft themselves came out again and debunked the recent rumors once again cause they are unverified
Chances are this might still be part of Windows 11
Not saying a successor is out of the picture because yet it will have to happen at some point in the future
And also keep in mind Microsoft has not announced a new version of Windows nor are there roadmaps for a successor
What i am seeing is apparently Microsoft is restructuring Windows and CorePC is part of the aspect
Been seeing articles about the next major version of Windows
Let me be clear about something: these are RUMORS not facts plus they are there just for clicks as these websites are presenting them as facts even though nothing is officially confirmed and instead just spreading it
And am I the only one that thinks the orange toddler is starting to become like Scar from TLK because the similarities are there
Just hate being American right now and screw those that voted for this
Honestly I still wish performance was better especially on the Raspberry Pi SBCs
Just subscribed to Claude Pro
Done with ChatGPT after almost a year of using it as that AI has become nothing but fucking dumb ever since they removed 4o and 5
Gonna rely on Claude, Gemini and Lumo for my stuff as they are more reasonable with responses and don't hallucinate as much
Gonna switch to Claude and not use ChatGPT anymore after what I learned what OpenAI did
Not gonna get into it because it gets political
Then again I have no problem with the distro it's really only the team behind it that I don't trust when it comes to management like that
Gonna try to go back to Manjaro since I'm starting to get worn down from the fact that my Arch VM keeps breaking shit
Now i did criticize the team behind Manjaro as they let their SSL certificate expire again and although this isn't uncommon for most websites it is unacceptable
Glad to hear it especially since LTS is most widely used in enterprise environments or people that prefer stability over new features

My one tip to the team is stop being fucking lazy and renew it it's really not that hard to renew a certificate
Take that back apparently Manjaro let their SSL certificates expire again today and this led me to go back to vanilla Arch
I have no issue with Manjaro it's really only the team I have issues with when it comes to these practices especially since they aren't learning from their past mistakes
Cannot wait and interesting enough after I just installed and moved to Manjaro in a VM as I got tired of vanilla Arch breaking my packages they have now moved to 6.18 for the latest LTS (6.19 for the default kernel) and funny enough vanilla Arch is still on 6.18 and 6.12 LTS

For those asking about the optional update for those in the Canary channel
It is 27H2 for Windows 11 as confirmed as the next feature update after 26H2
Remember that with Canary these are experimental builds that focus on what's ahead for Windows in the distant future

I mean the EoL for 7/8.1 makes sense as it's really starting to get hard for Mozilla to maintain due to AI in newer versions of FF plus both OSes being out of support for years now
RIP (2009-2026)
Screenshot of the Firefox web browser fork running under Windows Vista SP2, it uses the Nightly branding and it's currently based off version 147.
Mozilla recently dropped support for Firefox 115 ESR, last version to work under Windows 7 and 8.x.
If you need to still use Firefox in Win7/8...
This Firefox fork brings support of modern Firefox versions to Windows 7 and 8.x, including Windows Vista!

Yeah i definitely see them being like "Uh?" when they wrote that
Here we go again with Microsoft making things confusing with the vague language on their blog post
This is also one of the reasons I left the program completely back around 2020 when I got my Covid era laptop because it was starting to make a downfall in terms of direction
