My daughter was at the mall when it happened - she texted me from a Uniqlo store where they were hiding. Heard 12 shots in rapid succession, def. from an automatic weapon. Terrifying.
Our tiny, runt-of-the-litter foster kitten LOVES pets & cuddles. Each day, she grows stronger & bigger. She'll be ready for adoption in a couple of week. Whoever ends up adopting her will have the SWEETEST l'il companion π β€οΈ

Over lunch, we learned about Lodi's rapid gentrification, growing population of tech refugess, & history as a "sundown town."
Afterwards, we walked to the Lodi gate, which sits next to the train tracks & divides the two parts of town. Although the laws have changed, the local culture hasn't.
My daughter has been volunteering at the local animal shelter, & part of that job involves animal transport. So we drove an abandoned dog to the animal shelter in Lodi, California & had a lovely visit with my longtime friend, Sandie Richards of Lodi First Methodist (1/2)
