I would say I'm doing the old-lady birdwatching thing but I have actually always wanted to listen to birds and know what they were. Kid me would have been all over that with that app

The Merlin app is great, apparently our loud-ass bird outside is a Spotted Towhee. The usual chorus is chickadees and finches so it's a nice change.
