Trump hates the free trade deal he negotiated with Canada and Mexico. Trump agreed to exempt cars, light trucks and auto parts manufactured in Canada from any tariffs based on Section 232 (National Security). We will see if Trump’s word means anything.

Trump agreed to the elimination of this guaranteed access to Canada’s oil and gas production. I don’t think Ms. Freeland and the Canadian team gave up anything in return.
