I have been living here 2+ years, in that time nothing on this scale. Friends mentioned something similar happens around every 8-10 years (for example, there was a big flood in 2018).
They are evacuating people where needed, but I do not think anybody was prepared for this.

I tried to find some info, and I definitely hope so.
There are a lot of official bodies (emergency services, even military) involved.

Yeah, constantly. I live in Portugal and we have had terrible weather for weeks.
I am lucky that this area is not as affected as some others, where homes are flooded, and there is no electricity still.

He was very apologetic. Might have fallen asleep, but due to the language barrier, not a 100% sure.

We are fortunate that we are mostly okay, but are in the process of moving to a new country with 2 cats at the end of the month. Planned on driving. 😑
Now husband will go alone, and I am staying till everything is taken care of (and will try to find a way to travel with the 2 idiots later...)

Guy driving in the other lane crossed over to ours in a bend, and hit us, no breaking.
Bulldozed the left side of our car, the 2 back wheels were lifted off the road by the time his car stopped, and he got us stuck between his vehicle and the stone wall next to the road.
