What if your radio is not working and you’ll have to deal with the full Markwayne experience?
@jasdoutho
Movie recommendations on Sunday and book recommendations on Monday. Now I added Comics Recommendations for Saturday. And check out Mediocre Movie Tuesday. It’s not much of a description but if I don’t mention it, I won’t remember it at my age.
What if your radio is not working and you’ll have to deal with the full Markwayne experience?
15 minutes?!?! Your patience is superhuman.
You ever watch those size comparison videos about outer space? W’s crappiness as president can be measured by everything inside Pluto’s orbit. The rest of the universe, observable and otherwise, is…you know who.
Their emergency supplies of blaming trans people, minorities, immigrants, the neurodivergent, and “libtard” Hollywood have long since been depleted.
And no “building bridges” or “reconciliation”. They threw in with someone who would happily send their children off to die in a war rather than face the consequences for being a PDF file.
Monday Book Recommendation: The Panopticon is a fine book about a young girl caught in the juvenile justice system and how she deals with it. Be forewarned, Jenni Fagan uses a lot of Scottish accented words.
Dog: “Oh, and one more thing.”
Kristi Noem: “What?!?!”
Dog: “You’re standing on a one way trap door.”
Kristi Noem: “AHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhh!”
Bill Maher is only for MAGA snobs who think Joe Rogan is beneath them.
I fully support the idea that audiobooks are reading as much as turning pages or scrolling on a tablet. As long as you are absorbing the information, it’s reading. However, my tinnitus will not let me enjoy them myself.
Well, Bill. Welcome to the asskisser club that includes Cruz, Vance, McConnell, Graham, RFK Jr., Sessions, Barr, and Rubio. It doesn’t cost much to join. Just whatever little integrity you have left.
Sunday Movie Recommendation: Still crazy is a great British dramedy about an over the hill rock band. Worth watching for this quote alone.
“You are the man, Ray. You are the goddamn motherf***ing man.”
I don’t know what every other billionaire is going to do but Zuckerberg has a huge bunker if WWIII happens. He thinks he can buy his way out of the end of the world.
Sluggo: “I miss my slanty shanty!!!”
He’s a 70 year old multimillionaire who is long past having to worry about being sent over to Iran himself. Go suck an ass, Bill.
Not even two years old and it’s already older than the combined age of every member of the Rolling Stones.
I couldn’t resist. I’m sorry.
They put on these public displays of “prayer” not because of anything remotely resembling holiness. They do it because they know that it angers those of us who know it is a performative sham.
LQF said “can” not “when”. 😂
Saturday Comics Recommendation: Kid Maroon takes all of the great 1940s hard boiled detective archetypes and puts them in a little boy who tries way too hard to grow up before his time. Violent, hilarious, and surprisingly heartwarming.
But most importantly, my ass is tired.
He is proof that not everything Golden glitters.
Maybe I’m talking out of my ass but it seems worse in many ways right now than it did during the Great Recession. As bad as Bush was, we felt like an end was possible with him. Also, private equity and social media had yet to ruin things as badly they did now.
My last remaining piece of patriotism died when a pedophile who never should have been allowed to run for president in the first place sold us out to a South African billionaire who knowingly did business with pedophiles himself.
To everyone, Republican or Democrat, who voted to give Trump’s war legitimacy, you just secured an eternal place for yourself in Hell. I feel nothing remotely resembling pity for you.
It starts with schools and public libraries. Then it moves to bookstores and online retailers. Finally, it’s your own home where they tell you what you can or can’t read.
People may not like to be told how to do their job but when your job is going after true criminals like rapists, murderers, and pedos but you shake down people with different opinions then, YES YOU DO NEED TO BE TOLD HOW TO DO YOUR JOB!!!
I thought that was Kim Thayil of Soundgarden for a sec.
As someone who was in the military myself, there are way too many people who fill the ranks like Sheehy and Hegseth who are far more politician than soldier.
Yet Elon was perfectly fine with that welcome mat when it was for him.
