It’s not hypocrisy but rather playing to two GOP audiences at different times. No forever wars was for the extreme right Q and MAGA people who don’t own stocks to win the election, and war for profit benefits the military industry and politicians and traditional GOP who trade and win in the markets.
The problem with this argument is the ‘no forever wars’ message was for a relatively small MAGA segment. Lifelong GOP voters and the military industrial complex love war and its profits.
Ugly Americans who travel earned that sentiment completely on their own over many decades.
I wonder if giant pickup truck and SUV owners i. Georgia wish they had more fuel efficient vehicles, and if they’ll blame government? EV owners, your electricity and tires will cost more, too.

I wish I could see today’s youth in this but I don’t believe any young Americans have pulled in one direction like this ever since. They were brave to speak up, and many like my older brothers still are. One was at Woodstock.
