Introduction Albertans own 81% of the province’s mineral rights and the Alberta government manages those resources on their behalf. The province grants companies the right to develop the resources through its tenure process and, in return, the company must pay the province – that’s called a royalty. As the resource owner, the Alberta government sets terms and conditions for development and encourages the use of new technology for enhanced resource recovery by providing programs or incentives to industry. Oil par prices are important components in the calculation of the Crown royalty rates for conventional crude oil. These prices are intended to represent provincial arm’s length netback market prices at the producing battery received by producers selling their Crown production.

Carney is parroting the Consdervative Party of Canada, at many points word-for-word.
Critique of Carney's horrific stance on war is justified but paints the CPC in even worse light and shows how the Liberal Party has betrayed Canadians with the CPC and how much we need strong leadership in the NDP.

I had to ask if he was referencing the US or Iran.
I wouldn't justify bombing Washington D.C. because ICE is executing Americans in the streets, so why would I use the same excuse to justify bombing Tehran?

So why is it so easy for some to completely suspend any rational sense of humanity to justify bombing Iran's capital, killing over 100 out of only 170 people from one single girls school out of countless other targets, with the exact same justification? The answer is chillingly simple: Islamophobia.
Consider how the world would react if ANYBODY were to bomb America and murder Americans and American children, with the excuse that "Trump is evil and Republicans must be overthrown". While we all agree with that, nobody would ever consider that would justify the bombing of a (white) nation.

The core error:
Separatists doing "easy math" treat federal taxes as "lost money" instead of the cost of operating a country.
You wouldn’t eliminate a level of government.
You’d replace Ottawa with Edmonton. (Or Washington, DC, who would have even greater control over natural resource revenue.)
So in other words, Alberta intends to run a government where they keep all of your tax dollars and give you nothing in return.
That actually sounds completely accurate and believable from the UCP.

I'm in shock about the news about Iran. My family by marriage lives in one of the cities under attack. So many people in and out of Iran who want change, but not like this. So many innocent people are in the literal crossfire, in multiple countries. I don't know what we (Americans) should do.
