M.E. is probably the greatest song about the future written in the past that speaks to our present.
As a fellow Iron Maiden fan, I eagerly await your response to this film!
ICE in their own words
It's a puzzle about aliens, dolphins, and acid. You just have to crack the code. π½π¬π«
Great playlist! Any while she has released demo versions of almost all of her albums, I think I still love this song on 4 Track Demos the most: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaaR...

We used to have it all: Once upon a time in NYC on Houston between 1/2 Ave there was a bar with full-on airplane decor, including tiny airplane bathroom and in seat ashtrays (*ciggies: $6/pack*), called Idlewild. I grabbed this menu in 2001 or 02.
Made some CD-Rs for you guys like it's 2003. π€
For those who observe:
For all the real ghouls, my band @devourtheair.bsky.social is releasing our first LP. I printed, sliced, stickered and burned all the CDs. Imperfect, maybe, but made with love π€
I know Shelto, and he's never been lighter.
Elliott Smith was incredible, and Granddaddy playing The Beatles... for $15.
Tomorrow night in Brooklyn!
we used to have it all
New DEVOUR the AIR (me + Ben Lasman) record DESTROYERS drops 12/5! Listen to our new song, buy a handmade CD.
'Where to Land' is a gift for my real Hal Hartley heads out there. Great interview in @slantmagazine.com
"I think a lot of the time people equate irony with cynicism, which Iβve never been involved with. Irony is interesting because it highlights contradiction, and thatβs what Iβm interested in."
T O M O R R O W - Saturday, 10/3, 3-4pm, I'll be at the TBW BOOKS table at the ICP PHOTO BOOK FEST signing books and hanging out. This will be my last NYC event for the foreseeable future so, I dunno, come say hi :)
Thanks, Public Books! The brilliant A/S/L is available now from @sohopress.bsky.social!
A/S/L is at the top of my favorite books of 2025, so I was thrilled to engage @jeannethornton.bsky.social in conversation for our friends at @publicbooks.bsky.social. A must read for my real heads and the soon to be converted alike. Thanks, Jeanne!
Doing some long overdue maintenance on my archive, I came across some photos from (I think?) 1999 seeing Wesley Willis in Denver. I will cherish his head butt forever. Rock N Roll Will Never Die!
Hey gang it's been a minute. But TODAY, SATURDAY SEPT. 13, I'll be at the PRINTED MATTER NEW YORK ART BOOK FAIR at MoMA PS1 hanging out with the TBW BOOKS crew and signing books from noon until 1pm (or so). Come say hi :)
I'm sorry if I just wasted hours of your life.
Yeah I always figured it was Mack the Knife; there are references to oldies by Ray Charles and Gene Vincent so maybe itβs talking about Bobby Darinβs version? But this is the main thing I think of now when I hear or think about this song: m.youtube.com/@wolproject2...
