100%.
Hah yeah, I'm with you.
I mean, this is the first big move they do and the they make it this one. Kicking out arguably the most anticipated race of the calendar.
I fear it's not gonna be the last unpopular decision we're gonna be faced with. All in the name of 'growth'...
PI struggled to attract enough people to make enough money of the event, which it hosted for 30 years. A legendary track, but its remote location didn't help.
Former Dorna, MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group, wants F1-like growth ๐ฐ Less care for classic tracks.
Ominous sign for Silverstone?
๐ฆ๐บ Yikes. In an unexpected move Australia announced MotoGP moves to Adelaide street circuit and not The Bend.
Gonna be an extended version of the layout Supercars use. Top speeds over 340 kph promised, as well as top notch safety measures.
Reason to drop Phillip Island: (financial) growth.
Sounds good! Layout doesn't look too shabby at all. There are definitely worse tracks from the looks of it.
I guess it's never a fair battle comparing to PI. But that shouldn't mean The Bend can't be a good one. I mean, we've had Hungary last year for insurance...
Yeah sorry for you guys. And all motogp fans really, but especially the Aussies. It is such a classic. In a overcrowded calendar it's one of the few weekends you look fwrd to really.
Changes like this hardly ever are warmly welcomed by fans. Is The Bend a good track you reckon?
There's a Dorna (aka MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group) press conference tomorrow, where it's expected to be announced. But Australian politics already declared it.

๐ฅฒ So, what's been feared is real now. Phillip Island off the calendar after 30 yrs of service.
Despite being remote many fan's fav for its unique location and layout, but therefore also often times an outlier raising safety concerns due to low temps and strong wind from sea.
Last dance in '26.
๐ Hi ya'll we are back! With shakedown and the first test sessions behind us, it's time to pick up where we left: hopefully with you guys.
Wild speculation is what we love: check out our first takes on 2026! ๐

Yeah it's a nasty high sider but we seen quite a bit of those. Maybe it's him hanging onto the bike that gets him catapulted onto the tarmac so roughly
๐ Mav declared OUT for Portimรฃo. They hope to have him back for Valencia. Pretty crazy Viรฑales has now been unfit for more races in 2025 than he's been race fit. What could've been thinking of his form before this crash, and what Acosta is able to do now...
I share your worries. Tho I haven't seen what happened to Nascar from up close, I've heard about. Reason I fell for MotoGP again was that F1 felt so rigged/stewarded that MotoGP felt much more pure and 'human'. Not a commercial circus. Hopefully it remains that way
Van der Mark, who has just waved goodbye to World Superbike after 11 years, also did the last two races of the season back in 2017 for Monster Yamaha Tech 3.
Just a small Dutch touch to the announcement of Nicolo Bulega replacing Marc Marquez for the last two MotoGP races of '25 ๐
Bulega is the first World Supersport (step-up series to World Superbike) champion (2023) to eventually be promoted to MotoGP since... Michael van der Mark (2014). Yay Holland!
Happy to hear you enjoy the show, Jason. Thanks so much for taking the effort.
I find it hard to fire myself up for F1 lately. Despite a close title fight. Did look frwd to Mexico but then this dubious stewarding: it's hard to believe in the sport right now imo. I hope Liberty won't ruin MotoGP ๐ค

Thanks so much!

๐ฒ๐พ 20 down, 2 to go.
- another solid Alex performance
- Acosta outperforms the KTM
- Pecco can't (really) catch a break but wasn't running behind Chantra
- that Franky overtake on Quartararo ๐
- just when we thought Aprilia had the best all-round bike...
- can't Gresini just keep this tone of blue?
๐ฒ๐พ So, Friday at Sepang tells us:
- Rain is down to party this weekend
- Pol keeps delivering: straight to Q2
- Alex M. goes down twice but still makes it to Q2
- Pecco does not go straight back into the garage after a first lap
- Q1 is gonna be ๐ฅ with Bez, Aldeguer, Pecco, Marini, Fernandez & Binder
๐ฆ๐บ Recorded last night, struggled harder to overcome some technical issues than Bez did with the seagull... but it's here: Phillip Island race review! Please have a go โฌ๏ธ

As discussed in the pod today, Pecco was delighted but also angry. He really feels Ducati could've gone along with him a lot earlier this season.

๐ธ As mentioned in our MissedApex MotoGP San Marino race review; the very different aero design Michele Pirro tested on Monday. Much resembling the Aprilia and Yamaha 'mustache' wing, moving away from their own style as copied by KTM and Honda.
Curious as to what they bring at the Valencia test.
