Sunrise over the stunning Fitzroy Massif in Patagonia.

This image shows a waterfall in Patagonia, with rich vegetation surrounding it. This was a surprising find as just behind me was a view of the mountain Cerro Torre, a huge glacier and its proglacial lake. The juxtaposition of lush vegetation and an icy world was stark.

After returning home to the Lake District from Patagonia, it was nice to get out in the murky, wintery woodlands.

Light dancing over the fells of the Lake District, early one morning. A sprinkling of snow is visible on the higher peaks.

Fierce winds drive off snow and ice from the peaks of Paine Grande in Patagonia's Torres del Paine National Park. There is a whole world of drama and grandeur to be found far above in the peaks of mountains, and especially so for Patagonia!

A moment of sublime beauty as heavy clouds slowly lift, unveiling the majesty that lurks behind. Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia, Chile.

The last light of day touches churning clouds rushing over the jagged cliff faces of South Africa's Table Mountain.

Far away and far above, you will find castles in the sky. Castles so beautiful, which appear ever so briefly before they vanish, never to be seen again. Don't blink, you might miss one! Canadian Rockies.
