Our tiny little website currently has the 4th-placed story on r/all, which is doing all kinds of weird and beautiful things to our monthly traffic (which doesn't normally operate at anywhere near that scale)
Amazing work from @nicolecarpenter.bsky.social, as always!

looking for some narrative juice this weekend? Most of our games are on a discount right now - with 80 Days for less than a bus fare.
Found my old Marvel Overpower deck and the character art in this thing is off the charts.
This insane attention to numbers reminds me of how certain music fans obsess over streaming figures, especially as a sign of quality or worthiness.
Itβs sad.
DeeDee Mega DooDoo, you know?
I was unaware that anyone looked at the Scary Movie franchise with fondness.
One of the coolest experiences I had during the recent Steam Next Fest.
I really want to develop a take that Emerald Fennell is TikTok Feminismβs expression of Nicolas Winding Refn, but unfortunately, Iβve seen none of her movies so somebody else is going to have to do that heavy lifting.
Been really tired lately in a way Iβm having a hard time catching up from.

My partner is a big Stardew Valley fan but is not online like at all so she was very amused when I showed her all the Clint incel content after the 1.7 marriable character announcement.
Games to Watch for March is live on YouTube! Despite some delays, this month still has an amazing variety of new titles releasing this month. Which one are you looking forward to the most?

Screamer has me jonesing.
Michelle Kwan is appearing on my feed and honestly thatβs whatβs keeping me going right now
A screenshot from Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass. It's a character called a Low-Level Goon saying, "Scram, punk. Goon applications were due by 12:30 sharp. Everyone knows the first rule of gooning is "be punctual." You don't got what it takes, kid."
I'm not sure that's the first rule...

A screenshot from my first Little Victories podcast, published on February 28, 2025.
A year ago today, gaming industry leader and indie icon Alex Kanaris-Sotiriou (@kanaratron.bsky.social) became the first guest of my Little Victories videogame podcast.
Since then, it has taken me on a journey to interview all types of creatives.
Happy anniversary, Little Victories!
Wild thing to text me this morning, CB2
Especially for games that were already slavishly devoted to replicating cinematic styles of storytelling. Aesthetic ouroboros.
Good morning friends! Thank you for sharing Zach's post and call to action. We've all but smashed our goal overnight! This will help us stabilize and start doing more cool stuff... starting now!
For good and ill, Stardew Valley is *the* cultural expression of my generationβs go-to response in adversity: find authenticity, seek community, protect your peace, and when all else fails, write fanfic about marry-able npcs.
It is the quintessential enduring video game comfort object of our age. Its aesthetics and rhythms provided the foundation for our current notions of βcozyβ and βwholesomeβ games. And itβs no coincidence that as many felt less and less safe, a game like SV would prove so appealing.
Stardew Valley, ultimately, will be remembered for providing ten years of counterprogramming for a generation of American millennials wanting something to look at other than the long Trump presidency and everything that has entailed.
