Good morning friends! Thank you for sharing Zach's post and call to action. We've all but smashed our goal overnight! This will help us stabilize and start doing more cool stuff... starting now!

For good and ill, Stardew Valley is *the* cultural expression of my generation’s go-to response in adversity: find authenticity, seek community, protect your peace, and when all else fails, write fanfic about marry-able npcs.

It is the quintessential enduring video game comfort object of our age. Its aesthetics and rhythms provided the foundation for our current notions of “cozy” and “wholesome” games. And it’s no coincidence that as many felt less and less safe, a game like SV would prove so appealing.

Stardew Valley, ultimately, will be remembered for providing ten years of counterprogramming for a generation of American millennials wanting something to look at other than the long Trump presidency and everything that has entailed.
