There was a whole ballot question allowing felons in Florida to vote and it won overwhelmingly. In response the lawmakers came up with this. I don’t know where the fight stands now. But it was a bell weather on how badly the GOP would backlash to the public wanting a real, humane country.
Always remember going to a rich(er) relative's house in Phoenix when I was growing up -- she'd survived the Depression & had huge garbage cans heaped high with stockpiled canned goods, cake mixes etc. Now I understand what she was going thru. Since #trumpandemic we have a Depression cabinet full.
