Ughhhh no I donβt want to turbocharge my work with AI. I donβt want to level up my docs with AI. I donβt want to optimise my time with AI. I donβt want to unleash my potential with the help of AI. Just let me do my job in peace ok!!!!! Stop shoving AI down my throat!!!! I donβt want it!!!!!!!!

Hey yes - thatβs the two child limit! The benefit cap is a limit on the total amount of benefits/UC a person can get, and thatβs remaining in place. So some families will technically have the right to more child benefits, but they will be still blocked by the benefit cap if it makes sense?

Great to hear Rachel Reeves acknowledge that "there are many reasons why people choose to have children then find themselves in difficult times. The death of a partner. Separation. Ill health. A lost job. I donβt believe that children should bear the brunt of that."
So why should migrant children?

On my knees BEGGING journalists to stop calling it the βtwo-child benefit capβ. Itβs two measures, the two-child limit, and the benefit cap. One is going, the other one isnβt.

For all those excited at the thought of women with short hair being excluded from the Ladies, yes, sometimes we're challenged. No, it's never an issue once we speak or the challenger has a proper look. They apologise, we laugh. All good. No-one dies: we are women, not snowflakes.

From NYT article about the increasing use of AI in the classroom: βWriting is one of the most challenging tasks for students, which is why it is so tempting for some to ask A.I. to do it for them. In turn, A.I. can be useful for teachers who would like to assign more writing, but are limited in their time to grade it.β
Why even have a brain, any ideas, any ability to express them, any kind of communication with other people, any desire to solve problems or invent anything, any reason to learn, any use for your eyes or your heart, or any reason to teach or create

Minister defends plan to broadcast footage of deportation of illegal workers β UK politics live
Angela Eagle defends government plan to broadcast deportations as Home Office launches new immigration raids
The Governmentβs plan to broadcast videos of immigration raids and deportations is cruel and plays right into the hands of reform. This is what Trump did in his first week, are we really using the same scaremongering tactics as that guy?!

Airport expansion is completely incompatible with the government's aim to be a climate leader. Aviation has no short-medium term solutions to its carbon footprint. The UK can't become part of Trump's big back-track on climate. 3/3 neweconomics.org/2025/01/airp...

I would argue that the last thing which is needed now is Western, or any other country 's interference in how Syrians create a system of governance which works for them. What Western nations do need to do though is ensure that they continue to provide asylum for those seeking it. 7/

Yes person on the internet Syrians are aware that everything isnβt perfect and that there are challenges ahead. I think they didnβt need you to tell them that given that itβs been 5 decades of tyranny and no country ever emerged from tyranny without challenges ahead.

This is a good step forward - too many have been made homeless by previous gov policy (remember the 7 days' notice anyone?) and still suffer the consequences.
56 days still aren't that long when you need to rebuild your life from scratch and find a job as well as a home - we can still ask for more.

Child poverty is entirely preventable, but if we want to get rid of it, as a society we must accept that benefits are *a good thing*.
It's disheartening to see how many politicians still talk about people 'gaming the system' - the most vulnerable (inc kids) pay the price for this rhetoric.
