I read Heather Cox Richardson every day, she provides a great amount of topical and historical info. I also read her every day, fully aware her Democrats never do wrong take is disingenuous & harmful to Dems who'd benefit from recognizing the terrible missteps their party continues to make.
If Democrats nom a corporatist/neoliberal/centrist again it'll show they learn nothing & remain unserious about what we face & the needs of the people. Their poll numbers now, w/all the incompetence & nightmarish malignancy of the GOP plain to see, are terrible for a reason.
"Cthulhu".
I'm looking forward to 2029 when we remove and destroy every aspect of Trump's name on federal property like US forces taking down everything with Saddam Hussein on it.
That's the bare minimum any Dem should do. Leave no trace of his existence.
Heh. Mine's THE EXORCIST.
It's fun watching the apoplexy and denial of #Zionists' copium about #SUPERMAN's blunt, clear message that they're the fucking bad guys.

Somebody stuff me in a woodchipper if I ever start whining about younger generations or aggrandizing my own as if they were some astonishing breed and not the generation that most benefitted from privilege and most fucked up the goddamned world.
In a time when most clocks are digital, broken clocks are mostly not right any number of times a day.
South Park reached new heights again this week. Jesus. Not gonna name names, but I know a guy in Washington who would absolutely have Stone and Parker taken out if he could.
Trump's favorability has dropped to 33%. Damn, those are some Hillary Clinton-style numbers there. If he goes any lower, maybe she could run against him next time.
What? Um, no, Hillary, I did NOT mean that. Have a donut.
I worry about folks going heavy* on the Ozempic. It seems to leave a lot of 'em in George Romero territory...
*Or, I guess NOT heavy...
When Dems blow their advantage from the shutdown, if a majority of smart voices say it's failure don't listen to the few praising the Dems' strategy. They are in damage control mode & people like them have allowed the party to be shitty for years and gotten us to where we are.
#Democrats #Shutdown
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.
Now, now. STRONGLY-WORDED letters. Makes all the difference.
Chuck, you either orchestrated this exact outcome or you have completely failed as a leader and should be replaced.
It is not more complicated than that.
Piss off. You continue to be the weakest possible weak link. You're just another tool in Trump's toolbox.
gotta go taste that boot in person, I guess
DONALD TRUMP: [asleep, drooling on long red tie]
SENATE DEMOCRATS: fine, we give in
Made me think of MAGA voters...
If you elect a new mayor and a bunch of Nazis flee your city, it's a good sign you're on the right track.
#ElonMusk may HAVE a trillion dollars, but he is absolutely not WORTH a trillion dollars. He has no worth.
Fucking hell. Now I have to see people saying nice things not only about Dick Cheney but about Nancy Pelosi. And the week was going so well...
Maybe now we can limit rep's ownership and trading of stocks without her standing in the way. For no particular reason, of course.
Progressives learned how to say "Buttigieg." If we could do that, neoliberals can fucking learn to say "Mamdani."
#Mamdani
When you see Mamdani looking all normal doing normal person thingsβpetting bodega cats, riding public transportβyou realize just how bizarre and estranged our average candidate for public office is. Rich martians in flesh suits
I think about this often and I think it's because Democratic voters expect wonkish, fleshed out policy responses even if they don't understand the policies. GOP voters DO NOT CARE. This is borne out by years of political engagement.
I did not know that former New York Yankee (which automatically makes him ethically dubious) Mark Texeira is running for Congress down here in Texas, nor that he is, yes, a Republican, nor that he is stridently anti-SNAP (and thinks recipients of SNAP use DoorDash).
What a prick.
Because if you canβt see it, it canβt hurt you. Said no one ever.
