Five hours of work on botanical impression dishes in 1:25. Thankfully I was able to find another bag, but the studio I work at hasn’t been able to get the porcelain I use so I was really trying to get the most out of that slab. Nasturtium, fig, oak, and pomegranate.

67 hand sculpted porcelain charms in their bisque stage. The charms are in the shape of faces, hands, coffins, butts, strawberries, and skulls on a round plate. Each charm is painted with designs of masks, clowns, art deco woman’s faces, and strawberries over their basic shapes.

Charm batch coming through for Gay Easter this weekend. Underglazed and bisqued, they’re cooling from their glaze fire right now. Who else lives in fear in the shadow of potential failure when firing a lot at once? Fingies crossed!

How they shrink! The struggle I have with charms is that I feel like I need at least 100 to make a good display. How I love making them! Here’s the latest batch for my upcoming Mardi Gras events.

I love the bells! I made some bells over the holidays but they were the other kind of bell shape. So cute

Porcelain sculptural wall pocket in the greenware stage of porcelain. The shape of the wall pocket is long oval, with the “pocket” covering a little less than the bottom half. The pocket is big enough to put a few fresh or dried flowers in. There are sculpted flowers, a bird skull, and ornate scrolls decorating the piece.

Second ornate wall pocket of the year. I’m about to make a larger version of this as a custom commission for a friend who wants to be able to have a live plant inside the pocket. I’m excited to go even bigger!
