at least she's uniquely recognizable with her red head and back. most of the fox squirrels around here are much greyer. She seems young, so this is probably her first litter. There's a good hollow tree by my porch that always hosts baby squirrels and I like to keep track of who's living there.

This story, from @natezuke.bsky.social, is absolutely wild. A trans woman who never changed her gender marker was issued a letter invalidating her license. At the DMV they cut up her license, which had an "M" marker.

I ain't doing that, and i know the certificate is FULLY meaningless but it annoys me to just leave the program incomplete.

My employer offers a "[employer] University" "degree" if you finish certain training, and mostly it's just an easy way to get CEUs. But in order to "graduate" I'd have to travel to take an all day "intro" class for sometime I already have a degree and professional license in.
