Definitely. My previous dog was scared of everything, including his shadow, except fireworks. My current dog panics if a car goes by with one of those fart can mufflers. NYE was not pleasant in my house. Not to mention people with PTSD or are triggered by sudden loud noises.

Congratulations. November also marks 3 years sober for my partner. Though I did not struggle with sobriety, I did find alcohol, even occasionally, made my MH struggle more acute. I've been completely sober myself for over 3 years as a result.

I feel for small business owners. And I agree that they should be extended every chance given the last few years. But so should you and I. The fact that these organizations that function to keep workers under heel are asking for a break is just rich.

Thank you. There are ups and downs for sure. And while I have never claimed to be perfect, I'm done with the wrong people claiming the victim narrative.

Betrayal trauma?? When I ended up in the Waterford hospital in October of 2019 in a suicidal state, the only concern of the person who I spent years being programmed to believe was the only person who card was that they had to deal with 3 young kids on their own.

Nope. I went through the motions for years but stuffed really started to click in the last 12 months.

I've had good ones, bad ones, and currently have a great one. But, yes, they all have their own particular hangups as well. It may take a little shopping to find yours. And, you may need a different one as your needs change as well.

Everyone has different tastes, but I really enjoyed the first one. It was lightening in a bottle. They should have left it there. Just because a single run of a show is successful doesn't mean it requires a "sequel" in name only...

I was called dramatic, attention seeking, manipulative, and dangerous, etc by people whom I thought would have my back no matter what. I'm lucky to still be here. Thankfully, I had a supportive family and a rudimentary support network. But my kids were the biggest reason I held on and made it.

Your journey is yours alone. Don't compare your life to others as social media only displays the fun stuff. If waking alive every day was your biggest accomplishment for 2023, you are already ahead of the approximately 800,000 people who succumb to mental illness every year.
