In case you didnβt know, when you take your Dutch oven out of a 450 degree F oven, itβs very hot and will burn your hand π (I was only wearing one mitt and almost dropped the lid, so naturally I caught it with my bare hand) π€¦

Happy Trans Day of Visibility π³οΈββ§οΈ #tdov
So the last couple of weeks have been an adventure. Iβve learned to drive a tractor, went on a trip to see my love, and have barely had time to do much of anything else (I know, a break, how horrible /joking). The urge to bake and read has been strong though. Gotta get my head in the game πͺ
Two fruit inclusion sourdough loaves on a cooling rack. On the left: Strawberry. On the right: Peach.
A side view of the peach inclusion loaf.
A side view of the strawberry inclusion loaf, peach behind it and a view of two open Dutch ovens in the stove behind them
I also made two fruity inclusion loaves this week. Strawberry and Peach~
Now I will say, these loaves are *not* perfect in the slightest. The strawberries were frozen and turned the inside of the strawberry into a cavernous mushy mess. The peach was delicious but as you can see they exploded π€£

Some plain sourdough loaves I made this week. I think these are by far the best plain sourdough loaves Iβve made thus far!
On the topic of books, I once again have bitten off more than I can chew! Iβm bouncing between several. Including reading the Hunger Games for the very first timeβ¦

When I say that there is a trans witch hunt going on right now in Texas? This is the type of shit I am talking about. If this law goes through I can be arrested and go to to jail FOR SIMPLY BEING TRANSGENDER!
Lemon sugar and blueberry loaf, sourdough loaf and cinnamon brown sugar focaccia. All delicious and all recent bakes. I havenβt baked as much as I would like to the last few days, but Iβm getting the groove going again.

It's literally called Library Extension.

A golden brown strawberry sourdough loaf and a golden brown and blueberry spotted, blueberry lemon sourdough loaf on a cooling rack on the counter.
Top view of the blueberry lemon sourdough loaf, score marks are visible though the design is less easily identifiable. (It was a halfhearted attempt at a butterfly.) The loaf is round.
The blueberry lemon sourdough loaf (can you tell I was proud of this one?) from the front right side showing dark purple drips down the crust of the loaf from the blueberries as they baked.
Top view of the strawberry sourdough loaf showing the S score and partials of the side scores. It is more of an oblong shape.
Bread offerings of the day. Strawberry Sourdough and then Blueberry Lemon Sourdough. Let me tell you, both of these loaves are delicious.
Unrelated to bread, I need some good smut books in my life. I have been reading a lot about politics and history, which is important, butβ and hear me outβ smut.
If you enjoyed Fellow Travelers by Thomas Mallon or the show on Paramount+ with Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey and were ever interested to know more about McCarthyism, the Lavender Scare, and how it affected gay and lesbian individuals in the 1950s, I recommend:

As a way of making a tame introduction, these are some of the things Iβve baked this past week. π€€ All of these have been eaten already, but I promise I am making more and will share pics.
Quick things though:
- Minors DNI π
- I love NSFW things, so this wonβt stay tame. I am kinky and queer.
