More on what @mac84.bsky.social suggested, temp being a weather symbol. Making a weather symbol in 5x7 'pixels' is kinda meh. So I though make it the same width as the DAY, so 18x11. It needs some work , not bad for first pass. At the moment , its click to change. And saves to prefs.
Its just a fixed variable. 😜 All for show lol

Use the "SetClock" Utility from Macintosh Garden, or use year offset to fix incorrect DAY , 1998 seems to work for this.

Are your jumpers set for CGA ? If 5 and 6 are both off then motherboard is set to MDA
We had a power brown out, and it just scrambled the display. The powercycle fixed it.
Picked up an old soldering station from a junk yard in Mos Eisley, seems to be stuck in Aurebesh mode.
It's the IBM 5151 monitor , shipped with the original IBM personal computer in 1981
