Her heart aches in her chest at the sight, then at the stray thought of him young and alive, eyes bright and skin warm. How could anyone he set his sights on ever have stood a chance? The Baldur’s Gate of two centuries past must’ve been littered with broken hearts. But that wasn’t the man she loves. The man she loves is the one before her now. Sadder. Haunted. Bitter. But just as beautiful. She doesn’t want to lose him. Cazador can’t have him. Neither can Belladawn. Whatever happens after that… she’ll deal with it when they get there.
