Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. I have been immensely privileged to photograph some of the last survivors of the Holocaust. These are the hands of survivor John Hajdu holding his teddy bear with which, as a 7 year old Jewish boy in 1944, he escaped the Nazis.

Having just finished photographing the 'Temple of Victory' at Allerton Park, North Yorkshire, I left a couple of unexposed frames at the end of the roll ... just in case ... then this appeared! Shot on Harman Phoenix 200 … very grainy, very contrasty, very quirky! #35mm #filmisnotdead #nikonf6

Wonderful to meet and photograph the legendary Katie Chapman today. As a professional footballer Katie played for Arsenal Ladies and Chelsea Ladies, and was a member of the England women's national team.

It’s very different from how it was taught pre-AQA. Now split over 4 projects and two assessed components. Heavily digital based but still lots of opportunities for analogue.

It’s going to be a busy year! Arts Council England is confirmed as the principal funder for β€˜The North Revisited’ - my year-long project to build on the pioneering work of Sunday Times Magazine photographer, John Bulmer FRPS, in the 1960s. Coal Faces, published this month by Image&Reality, features the work of 17 photographers telling the story of the last 60 years of coal mining in Britain. It includes a foreword by Steve Fergus, one of the 15 miners featured in my 'Last Men Standing' portrait series which is included in the book.

The iconic Salford Lads Club is famous for a 1985 photograph, by Stephen Wright, of β€˜The Smiths’ standing outside the building (for their album "The Queen is Dead"). Opening night for the 70:15:40 exhibition at The Handbag Factory, Kennington. The project was created by MPB and is supported by the RPS. It addresses the underrepresentation of women, trans and non-binary people working in photography. Pictured: Violeta Sophia, one of the 70:15:40 award recipients.

Beautiful picture. Coincidentally, I’ve just swapped from Hasselblad to Contax 645 (for the autofocus!) and really enjoying the camera.
