Just to clarify, my own view on immigration:
It is deeply necessary to counter the cliff edge weβre facing because of our rapidly ageing population.
Labour is not having the right conversation - we donβt need to stop immigration, we need to explain why itβs critical for our survival.

You know what would have helped with this sudden isolation we now find ourselves in?
Not leaving the damned EU.
For fuckβs sake.
A dear friend's cat is dealing with anemia and needs blood transfusions, and I am so worried for her, but wanted to pause and remind folks that cats and dogs can be blood donors. If you have a healthy animal between 1-6 years of age, look for a program near you. Save some lives.
I see lessons have not been learned from the spectacular loss of Gorton and Denton.
If Labour insists on continuing down this route, then they do honestly deserve to lose the next GE.
Utterly infuriating.
The Venn Diagram is a circle, and crosses very nicely with the people who are so very keen to not pay their taxes while shitting on the British state that will still be doing any evacuation if they may need it.
Iβm going for option 3!
Somehow my post from this morning has turned into my best performing piece on Bearly Politics to date - which leads me to conclude that either:
1. You guys missed me!
Or,
2. People really, really dislike Isabel Oakeshott.

βGender criticalβ transphobe, Rosie Duffieldβ playing the βvictimβ card (again) while totally skipping over the part where she relentlessly and obsessively prioritises targeting trans people (she literally left UK Labour so she could do it unencumbered from party rules on behaviour) π

The grin of pure evil.
A special relationship is built on mutual love and respect.
An abusive relationship is when your partner belittles you, gives nothing back, threatens you, keeps negatively comparing you to an ex partner and despite it all assumes you'll always be there for them.

Have you seen this? Reform UK has just pledged to rip up legal protections for workers and renters. I'm really worried about it. I've signed a petition to stop the steal. Can you add your name too? www.megaphone.org.uk/petitions/st...
Coming soon: Shabana Mahmood and Wes Streeting, two of Labour's more prominent trans-haters, combine to proscribe protests against JK Rowling under the Terrorism Act.

I want Starmer to stand down, but in this instance, heβs absolutely 100% right

I know everybody is worried about PM Farage, but I'm not. And this (transposed from USA) is why.
Yes, he's disturbingly popular. But his policies aren't, they're getting less popular by the day, he has to defend them for 3 years until an election, and the "Not Farage" vote is already huge.
I remember the lead up to the 2nd Gulf war very well indeed.
All the WMD stuff and the "if we don't stop them now they'll nuke us" lies.
It was absolute bollocks and obviously so, and this repeat version of it being pushed by pro Trump pro war factions is dangerous, fanciful nonsense.
I know! Letβs send large slow-moving targets into the arena!
A screenshot of a post from X.com by Paul (@LeftySeparatist). The text reads: "I donβt want my tax being spent on facilitating the return of these extremists from Dubai to the UK. They clearly despise our culture and way of life and they should seek refuge in the first safe country they arrive in. Am I doing this right? π€" Below the text are two images: βLeft: A selfie of Richard Tice and Isabel Oakeshott smiling outdoors. βRight: A professional shot of Richard Madeley sitting at a news desk in a blue suit.
The fact that Isabel Oakeshott, economic migrant to the UAE may just turn into a refugee fleeing to the UK from a war zone will cause a level of schadenfreude in me that may just make me topple right over.
People keep asking me about AFTERWAR these days, andβ¦ I just donβt know what to say.
The book was a warning.
It's a new month, and that means new sales and price drops! (Be sure to check the dates.)
Donald Trump is a global chaos generator. He couldn't give a damn about the Iranians and will walk away the moment things get difficult, leaving a trail of pointless death and destruction.
It's all about spectacle for him. Once that's achieved, job done.
