cm shoved him to the ground, which was what he expected. he was about to apologize, but cm simply turned around and stormed up the mountain, leaving him confused and bewildered at why his sajil was taking a date so personally

“we’re just enjoying eachother’s company! i know its hard to wrap your head around with your personality, but sometimes people want to spend time together!”

he regretted the words as soon as they jumped out of his mouth. unfortunately, that jin bitchiness never left him, despite his best efforts

it was said with malice, but the words still touched bc’s heart. being reminded he had a place in this world that valued him…nothing felt like it.

“i’m not going anywhere. i have no interest in settling down.”

“so, you’re just leading him on then? shame on you, dongryong!!”

“yes, chung myung-ah. we’re getting married after one meeting.” he said it sarcastically, but genuine anger (and did he see fear?) burned in those pink eyes.

“bullshit!! this elder doesn’t approve!!”

“huh? what are you talking about??”

“i meant!! the elders!! you—! you’re too valuable to lose!!”

cm was on his ass before he even started climbing the mountain, apparently having set up camp at the base.

despite being a head shorter than him, cm casted an intimidating shadow. “well?? what happened? did he soil your purity? do we need to draft a marriage contract??”

their evening went well. the food was good, conversation flowed easily, and it helped that tang jan was very easy to look at. bc was sad it had to end, but he knew if he took any longer, cm would come drag him back home himself. so the pair said their goodbyes, sharing a chaste kiss on the way out.

bc snuck out as they devolved into a messy dog fight.

he made it to the restaurant with just enough time to spare. tang jan was pleased to see him and said as much.

bc was flattered, but tried to keep a cool demeanor.
