LOL @ the Orioles radio team calling the old half-a-scoreboard on 33rd Street the “Lite-Brite” board.
Zane Barnhart was born in Towson?!
Jerry Hairston Jr. getting some love on the Orioles radio broadcast.
Love to hear it.
Dear reader, I ask you—is there anything better than… Remembering some guys?
Drew is, of course, invited to the parade
Let’s hope Mr Butterworth doesn’t melt under pressure.
Woo! Home Run № 2 for Pete Alonso!
Good on you, Brett Hollander, for sticking to your guns! I say it’s a triple, too.
lol, which the official scorer apparently ruled a double + an error.
Triple for Basallo? Not too bad.
SILENT J MAKING SOME NOISE!
I walked into the supermarket the other night, heard Level 42 playing, and immediately thought “YES, this is going to be a good shopping experience.”
U.S. beats Canada for first men’s hockey gold at the Olympics since 1980
Love a good hot dog with onions.
Pete Alonso hits his first Orioles home run. Welcome to baseball
This was great. I feel like Pete’s early observations on Baltimore and O’s fans was a direct reflection of the ppl he met at the Caravan, ppl like Heather. Pretty cool.
Also, inject a “Turnstile-d” version of “Thank God I’m A Country Boy” into my veins. Need that to happen STAT.
@mikal-el.com already alluded to this, but Panda Bear grew up in Roland Park.
We could have had him if only we were willing to pony up—where have we heard that before

Please give our collective regards to Mr Chas Entertainment Cheese.
I should point out that in no way am I trying to bring undo attention to Mr Davenport’s parents (lol)… I just think it’s nuts that his lifespan very nearly overlapped with the Civil War, and that as an older man he got the chance to portray a CW–era character in a movie that was shot in Technicolor.
How wild is it that Harry Davenport—the actor who played Dr Meade in the Atlanta scenes—was BORN IN 1866? If you plug his DOB (19 JAN 1866) into a conception calculator, it looks like his parents may’ve done the deed on 20 APR 1865—the same day that Lincoln was lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda.
Curling reminds me of this.
